Michael Jackson is reportedly looking to buy a castle in Ireland and he’s also considering opening up a leprechaun-inspired theme park. Jackson apparently is fascinated by leprechauns and the myths and folklore of Ireland. The idea would cost an estimated 500 million euros (about $635 million) to put into action. Maybe he should sell the rights to The Beatles songbook in order to pay for this park. I wonder what the height requirement is to ride Jackson himself. Oh I kid.
Forbes” magazine has put out its annual list of Richest People in America and, for the first time, everyone on the list is a billionaire. Bill Gates is number one again with $53 billion and Warren Buffet is second with $48 billion. Also on the list are David Geffen, George Lucas, Steven Spielberg, Oprah Winfrey and Donald Trump. Martha Stewart didn’t make the cut after losing $395 million in the last year. I guess that serves the queen-bi**h right.
Tiger Woods is outraged this morning after an Irish tabloid paper ran fake nude pictures of his wife. Woods’ wife, he acknowledges, was a former model and often donned bikinis for shoots, but says that the tabloids’ linking her to pornographic websites is false and unacceptable. The paper has since apologized, saying that it was only meant as a satire. It is still yet to be determined whether or not there will be a lawsuit filed.

3 more stories to report. Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie have started a charitable group called the Jolie/Pitt Foundation. So far they have donated $2 million to humanitarian causes, $1 million to Global Action for Children and $1 million to Medecins sans Frontieres/Doctors Without Borders. Angelina Jolie is a goodwill ambassador for the U.N. High Commission for Refugees. I guess homewreckers do actually have hearts.
“Saturday Night Live” has announced the departure of several cast members including Rachel Dratch, Horatio Sanz and Chris Parnell as well as many of the long-running show’s writers. “SNL” returns with its season premiere on September 30th. The season opener will be hosted by Dane Cook with musical guests The Killers. Seth Meyers will join Amy Pohler to fill Tina Fey’s vacant seat on “Weekend Update”. I guess the only one that I really care about leaving is Horatio Sanz. He really is quite funny. Oh well.

“In Touch Weekly” is reporting this morning that Daniel Smith had been in and out of the hospital for a month before his death. Apparently Smith had an elevated heart rate that may have been caused by an unsafe combination of prescription drugs: Ambien for insomnia coupled with Lexapro for depression.
