Reese On The Single Market

What is this? 2 updates in 3 days. Well there has been some big news today, so and away I go.

I hate to start off my reports with some sad news, but Oscar winner Reese Witherspoon and her husband Ryan Phillippe have separated after seven years of marriage. The couple’s representative released a statement to entertainment news website TMZ.com Monday saying, “We are saddened to announce that Reese and Ryan have decided to formally separate. “They remain committed to their family and we ask that you please respect their privacy and the safety of their children at this time.” The pair have two children, Ava, seven, and Deacon, three. I do feel bad for these two, but I could see this coming from a mile away.

So I am enjoying 3 new shows this year, Ugly Betty, 30 Rock, and Studio City On The Sunset Strip, well I might be only enjoying 2 of them in the very near future. Actors on the show “Studio 60 on the Sunset Strip” are alleging that the show is about to be cancelled and replaced by “Deal or No Deal: The Next Generation” I wish I could get on my soapbox and tell all my loyal readers to check out the show.

Mr. Britney Spears, Kevin Federline’s debut CD, “Playing With Fire” hits stores tomorrow. Meanwhile, “K-Fed” claims that he is paid $10,000 - $20,000 a night to appear at nightclubs just to be seen there and drink. Oh to live the life of K-Fed. I have them in the pool for the next celebrity couple to get a divorce.

Lindsay Lohan was pulled over in Hollywood early in the morning this weekend. Lohan was crying hysterically and frightened that people were following her. Turns out that the people following Lohan’s car were members of the paparazzi. A day without a good Lindsay Lohan story is like a day without sunshine.

And finally, Nicole Richie reportedly collapsed at L.A. hotspot Hyde over the weekend. She just recently left the hospital she was in, and partied it up a notch Saturday night. Hoorah.

Snoop has done it again

I want to apologize for not updating for over a week. I have been super busy at work, and have not been getting home till late on a nightly basis. And away I go.

Where should I start, because I have lots of information to report to you guys. Snoop Dogg has been arrested again. This time he was nabbed at Bob Hope Airport after a gun and undisclosed amounts of marijuana were found in his luggage. Snoop was booked, but later released on $35,000 bail. He is due back in court on December 12^th. Oh Snoop when will you learn. I thought you gave up weed a couple of years ago?

This comes from The NY Daily News and involves everyone’s favorite Skinny Minnie. Nicole Richie has taken a break from filming “The Simple Life” and has entered a medical treatment facility so that specialists can determine why the super skinny star isn’t gaining weight. Richie insists that she does not have an eating disorder and wants to gain weight. I wish her all the best of luck.

Mariah Carey has cancelled her show in Hong Kong, which was set to be the last stop on her current tour. Despite rumors that say Carey cancelled because of poor ticket sales and the fact that the venue would not comply with her diva-like demands, the singer says that the promoter simply refused to pay her. The promoter then retorted that Mariah’s show had only sold 4,000 tickets so far. I know she had a huge year last year, but the Diva act is getting quite old Miss Thing.

In the what has got to be the most exciting news of the week, the hit show “Dancing With the Stars” is launching a U.S. tour with many of its stars. The tour, featuring Drew Lachey, Harry Hamlin, Joey Lawrence, Joey McIntyre, Lisa Rinna and others will come to the New York area for 3 dates in March and April. OH kiddies you know I will be totally buying tickets for this. It is totally on.

Former ‘NSYNC singer Lance Bass has received serious threats over the contents of his boyfriend’s new book, which exposes the abuse he was subjected to as a gay man in the military. In “Here’s What We’ll Say: Growing Up, Coming Out, and the U.S. Air Force Academy,” Reichen Lehmkuhl claims he was sexually assaulted by straight military men after he ‘came out.’ Now the 32-year-old now alleges that he and Bass have been told their lives are in danger in menacing communications they have received.

Ok 2 more stories to report for today. With a Teen People camera crew shooting their every move, Brooke Hogan and her father Hulk Hogan stopped at the LF store on Fifth Avenue, spending $900 on clothing. But after everyone left, The New York Post reports one of Hogan’s assistants came back in without cameras to return it all, moaning, “We didn’t actually think you were going to charge her!” Brooke’s rep responded, “When she got to her car she realized she’d overspent, but she did keep a bag and a necklace.” Now that is just as funny as well Jessica spent 800 dollars on bras and panties during The Newlyweds.

And finally, this is some very exciting news. ‘American Idol’ season two runner-up Clay Aiken will appear on NBC’s ‘Days of our Lives’ to perform two songs, one from his new album ‘A Thousand Different Ways’, and ‘O Holy Night’ from his 2004 CD ‘Merry Christmas with Love,’ the soap opera’s spokeswoman, Kellie Kulikowsky, told The Associated Press. Yeah, I will set my tivo to record that episode.

Reality Relationships

I think I finally have my proper sleep pattern back. I am writing this at 9:45 on Wednesday night, and this is the latest I have been up since Sunday. And away I go.

Ok So get this. I am amazed how Hollywood goes around. First Brodie Jenner dated Kristin from Laguna, and then he dated Nicole Richie. Now he is dating LC Lauren Conrad. I think things are getting too close in Hollywood.

Now I have news to report in the Sara Evans divorce this morning as well. Evans’ husband is now filing counter charges, claiming that he caught her cheating with several men, including her “Dancing With the Stars” partner and Kenny Chesney. Wow. Things are really heating up there.

Speaking of Hollywood’s messy divorces, there is big news big news in the highly-publicized divorce of Paul McCartney and Heather Mills. Mills has now filed charges against McCartney accusing him of several accounts of physical abuse. Charges include, pushing, shoving, hitting, choking, threatening to stab her with a broken wine glass after he poured wine over her head and demanding that she not breast feed their child. No not Sir Paul McCartney.

Rapper Fabolous was shot early in the morning in a New York City parking garage following his visit to P. Diddy’s nightclub. It turns out that not only was Fabolous shot, he was subsequently arrested! Once the rapper was shot, he and his entourage hopped into the car and fled the scene, running several red lights. When police pulled over the car, they found 2 unlicensed automatic weapons. Oh brother.

Eddie Murphy and his girlfriend, former Spice Girl Melanie B are expecting a child together. “Scary Spice” Mel B is reportedly several months pregnant with Murphy’s child and the pair are expected to marry sometime next month. I wonder if Baby Spice will ever get pregnant. She was always my favorite.

OK 2 more stories to report. Actor Wesley Snipes was indicted yesterday on several charges of tax fraud. Feds say that Snipes has cheated the government out of $12 million and could face up to 6 years in prison. Didn’t any of these celebrities learn from Ugly Naked Man Richard Hatch?

So Long Sarah

As I am writing this, I am amazed I am still awake at 8:38 pm Sunday night. I usually sleep for 7-8 hours a night. I have gotten a combined 10 hours of sleep Thursday Friday and last night. But, it was totally worth it. And away I go.

We have more information this morning on the Sara Evans story we reported last week. There was controversy on the set of “Dancing With the Stars” last week when contestant, singer Sara Evans dropped out of the shows’ competition citing personal problems. Evans is currently going through a nasty divorce and the televised dancing competition was too much for her to handle. Now it has come out at Evans has accused her husband of adultery and verbal abuse. She claims to have records that he has been on computer soliciting for threesomes and anal sex on Craig’s List. You know that gives me a great idea. I should have solicited for a date for the wedding. Well maybe not.

Popular all-girl singing group Danity Kane was injured in a limousine crash in Toledo, Ohio over the weekend. The bands’ limo was broadsided by another vehicle at an intersection and 4 members of the band were treated and later released from a local hospital. Danity Kane will join Christina Aguilera and Pussycat Dolls on their upcoming tour. What happenned to O-Town, or that other band they formed? I don’t know if Puffy lost his touch.

The FX network is said to have approached Rosie O’Donnell to develop a half hour evening show. The contact was apparently made after O’Donnell guest starred on an episode of “Nip/Tuck”. The network loved O’Donnell’s character so much that they immediately considered her for a show. Nip/tuck is one of my favorite shows and I loved the Rosie episode from a few weeks ago. The won the lottery and offered to pay one of the plastic surgeons 250,00 to sleep with her after he performed all the work on her.

“The Grudge 2” with Sarah Michelle Gellar and Amber Tamblyn took the top spot at the box office over the weekend, bringing in $22 million and knocking “The Departed” into second place. Well I never saw the first one, and have little desire to see this one.

OK 3 more stories to report. Actor Bill Murray was in a London bar over the weekend when he was approached by a woman inviting him back to a college party. Murray accepted the invitation to this run-of-the-mill college party where he sipped vodka from a coffee mug. Murray then helped clean up and do dishes before leaving to go home. How great is that. I wonder if I had to invite a celebrity back to a college party who would it be? Oh that is just too easy, Miss Jennifer Love Hewitt.

Madonna came forward last week and confirmed publicly that she has adopted a 1-year-old Malawian boy. This comes following the father of a boy in Malawi spoke out and claimed that Madonna had adopted his son. The singer has been in Malawi building an orphanage and child care center for kids, many of whose parents have died of AIDS.

R&B star Usher has been forced to cancel his remaining appearances in the Broadway musical “Chicago,” after failing to shake off a bout of the flu. The singer, real name Usher Raymond, has been playing slick lawyer Billy Flynn in the production since August 22. But he became ill last Friday and has now canceled all of his performances up until the end of his run on October 14.

Back Together Big Kiss

Hope everyone is having a good week. This will odds are be my only update for the week, as I will be out of town for a wedding Thursday through Sunday. And away I go.

Paris Hilton and Nicole Richie have buried the proverbial hatchet. The one-time BFFs were seen out socially together over the weekend and are reuniting for “The Simple Life 5” where they will be camp counselors. Oh there is a god. This new season is totally going to rock. I can totally see Nicole smuggeling cigarettes into the camp and giving them to the kids.

More performers have signed on to perform at next month’s American Music Awards hosted by Jimmy Kimmel. The Dixie Chicks, Pussycat Dolls and Nelly Furtado have been added to the list of performers. Good. Al three artists are currently on my Ipod.

Steve Carell’s new movie “Evan Almighty”, a spinoff of the Jim Carrey movie “Bruce Almighty”, is reportedly on track to becoming the most expensive comedic film ever made. The Los Angeles Times says that estimated cost so far is $250 million. See Steve Carell in NBC’s “The Office” on Thursday nights at 8:30. I thought the first one was hilarous, hopefully this one is just as funny.

In other “American Idol” alumni news, Ruben Studdard has reportedly lost over 100 pounds and is set to release a new album later this month. Ruben did it y becoming a veggie, and eliminating fried foods from his diet. Good for him, and do not forget his new album drops in November.

Mary Hart has signed a new multi-year deal with “Entertainment Tonight”. Still after 25 years of it being on, I tivo it and watch it back every night. It keeps me up-to-date with all my celebrity gossip.

And finally, Keisha Castle-Hughes, the youngest actress ever to be nominated for Best Actress at the Academy Awards, is pregnant. Castle-Hughes, now 16, starred in 2002’s critically acclaimed film “Whale Rider” when she was just 13 years old. The 16-year-old actress is now happily awaiting the birth of her first child with her 19-year-old boyfriend, Bradley Huff. Castle-Hughes also starred as the queen of Nabu in “Star Wars: Episode III”. What is next? Emma Watson from the Harry Potter movies has a sex-tape? Oh a boy can dream.

Jimmy’s Buffett of Drugs

Hope everyone is having a pleasant weekend, and Away I Go.

Jimmy Buffet was busted in the south of France last night by authorities. Buffet was caught with 100 tabs of ecstasy in his luggage. He was on board a small, rented plane when customs officials started poking around. Buffet was only fined $380, a slap on the wrist compared to what he would have gotten in the U.S. Buffet’s people are denying the reports that ecstasy was found and that it was medication. Jimmy Buffet’s new album, “Take the Weather With You” hits stores this Tuesday. I guess all Jimmy Buffet really wants is a pencil thin line of X.

Kelly Ripa and her husband Marc Consuelos have signed a development deal with the CW Network. They’ll do a sitcom loosely modeled after their real life, meeting and falling in love on the set of a soap opera. Does this mean the end of Live with Regis and Kelly? Thankfully no it does not, as they both are contracted through the end of 2008. Thank god.

Eva Longoria has been injured on the set of “Desperate Housewives” yet again. This time she slipped and fell down the stairs of her trailer, seriously bruising her ribs. This might be a case of God messing with her, after she allegedly cheated on her husband with Dancing with the Stars stud Mario Lopez.

Ludacris has just signed on to star with Vince Vaughn in the upcoming movie “Fred Claus”. He’ll be playing an angry elf. Well I can not picture him doing that, this whole story is just ludacris. Sorry kiddies I just could not resist the easy ones. I also enjoy a good Christmas comedy.

Despite the week’s rumors, Madonna is denying that she has adopted a baby boy from Malawi. Madonna’s publicist has confirmed that the singer is in Malawi on private business and that she is building an orphanage and child care center for children, many of whose parents have died of AIDS in the impoverished nation. Wow, how Jolie-Pitt of her.

Farah Fawcett is battling intestinal cancer. Doctors found a cancerous tumor on the actress’ intestine. Fawcett has already undergone radiation and she is now facing surgery and a long stint of chemotherapy. Katie Couric is reported to be helping Fawcett through this difficult time, making sure she has the best possible care. Couric’s husband died of colon cancer and she has done a great deal of related charity work. Ring Ring, hello it is the 1970’s on the phone, they want there celebrities we care about back.

Hollywood star Jessica Simpson has dismissed reports she enjoyed a romance with her co-star Dane Cook on the set of new movie Employee Of The Month. The actress, who divorced her ex-husband Nick Lachey in June, had great chemistry with Cook, but the pair were never more than good friends. Simpson tells talk show host Jimmy Kimmel, “We had great chemistry, onscreen chemistry and offscreen chemistry. But nothing sexually.”

And finally,
Singer Ashlee Simpson is denying scandalous reports that she and Paris Hilton’s main squeeze, singer Nick Carter, had a romantic interlude in Hollywood. Splashnews.com said details compiled from a variety of celebrity sheets painted a picture of Carter pursuing Simpson after Paris supposedly cheated on him. Simpson says the report made her laugh and that she and Carter never had a relationship while he was dating Hilton.

I have just been moving and grooving as of late, with lots of information to report. It is going to be a smaller update today, as I just want to get a couple of big stories to you guys. And away I go.

Apparently there was a huge bar fight at the Los Angeles hotspot Hyde the other night involving Paris Hilton and Shana Moakler. Paris was at the club with her boyfriend Stavros when a shouting match ensued between Paris and Shana Moakler. Reports say that Moakler wound up and punched Paris, closed-fist, right in the face. Apparently Moakler’s hair was on fire when she had to be restrained by several people as Paris and her posse was escorted from the club. Paris Hilton has filed a police report, but so has Moakler who is claiming that Paris’ boyfriend dumped a drink on her head. Hilton’s publicist, Elliot Mintz says that they may be seeking a restraining order. You know a day without a great Paris story is like a day that was just not meant to be.

Tori Spelling is pregnant with husband Dean McDermott’s baby. Her people have now confirmed the long-rumored pregnancy. This will be the first child for both. Why can’t David Silver be the father of the baby? Now that would be suite.

Speaking of 90210, Former Beverly Hills, 90210 star Jennie Garth and husband Peter Facinelli have welcomed a new baby girl. Fiona Eve Facinelli was born on Saturday morning and weighed in at 7 pounds, 8 ounces.This is the third child for Garth, 34 and Facinelli, 32.The couple, who got married in January 2001, are also parents to daughters Luca Bella, nine, and Lola Ray, three. I really like that name Fiona Eve, she sounds quite distinguished.

Everybody get your popcorn ready. No there is not going to be a Saved By The Bell marathon on. The season premiere of “Lost” airs tonight on ABC and the show’s co-creator, J.J. Abrahams says that viewers tonight do not have to be long-time fans of the show to enjoy the new season. Abrahams says that enough back stories will be provided to catch up new viewers. I totally can not wait.

The Mirror reports Britney Spears lashed out at hubby Kevin Federline after the rapper returned home from a weekend of partying with pals in Las Vegas. The budding rapper had picked up a pair of diamond earrings before facing Britney and their two children, but it didn’t work. “Kevin thought the earrings would make up for the fact that he left Britney with the kids all weekend while he partied it up in Vegas,” a friend revealed. “But she was livid that he even considered going in the first place, so when he handed over the present she got so furious she stormed off. They are now barely speaking. All Brit wants is for Kevin to be more hands on with the kids. She thought their relationship was back on track.” I think the countdown clock is on until single Britney kiddies. Maybe I will then have a chance?

And finally,   Jim Carrey and Cameron Diaz’s plan to reunite in a new movie has fallen flat - both they and the movie’s directors have walked away from the project. ‘The Mask’ co-stars were due to team-up for the first time since the 1994 comedy in ‘A Little Game Without Consequence’ - which was due to begin shooting in New York City later this month. But the duo quit, reportedly unhappy with director Gabriele Muccino’s reworking of the script. Muccino then left the film, citing “substantive creative differences” with producers.

A Massachusetts judge has put out a warrant ordering the immediate arrest and jailing of Bobby Brown should he step foot in the state. This comes following Brown’s failing to show up for a hearing over delinquent child support payments. Bobby Brown owes $11,000 in back child support and has missed the last two payments completely. The singer’s people say that Brown is having a difficult time dealing with the recent breakup of his marriage to Whitney Houston. There is also speculation that Brown is having trouble making the payments because it was Whitney Houston who was writing the checks.

This story just keeps getting better and better. Larry Birkhead, the photographer claiming to be the father of Anna Nicole Smith’s baby, has filed court papers demanding that Anna Nicole and the child return to California to undergo paternity tests.

Kate Hudson and Owen Wilson are starting to go public with their relationship. Wilson paid a visit to Hudson’s home in the Pacific Palisades over the weekend and the two were spotted dining at the Polo Lounge at the Beverly Hills Hotel

George Michael was arrested again Sunday in London after being found slumped asleep at the wheel of his car at a busy intersection while high on booze and drugs. The singer failed a breathalyzer test and had to be taken to the hospital when a police doctor feared he may be worse than first thought after he confessed to smoking marijuana. It is the third time this year the 43-year-old stare, who is just four dates into a 50-night European tour, has been in trouble with the law. How I wish someone would be his father figure, and show him the differences between right and wrong. Sorry kiddies I just could not resist.

Canadian pop punk Avril Lavigne has apologized for spitting at photographers after celebrating her 22nd birthday in Los Angeles on Tuesday. The singer was leaving Hyde nightclub with husband Deryck Whibley and pals when photographers tried to get shots of her. Lavigne targeted a member of the paparazzi working for news website TMZ.com, and called out, “Hey f**khead, come here,” and spit into his lens, as her friends giggled behind her. Oh Avril, why do you have to go and make things so complicated. Just go outside of the bar, and smile for the photographers.
