Well Well Well, it is Monday early evening, and I write this sitting in my apartment watching back to back episodes of Saved By The Bell on my tivo. And away I go.
After almost four months of marriage, actress Pamela Anderson has filed for divorce from musician Kid Rock. Various online reports indicate that the former Baywatch babe and the rap-rocker each filed divorce papers Monday, citing irreconcilable differences. Wow, and I thought these two would last. Man oh Man.
Elton John stunned fans at a gig in Brisbane, Australia Sunday night, when he was forced to leave the stage so he could vomit. The star had been performing for two hours at the Brisbane Entertainment Center when he suddenly felt unwell and disappeared for five minutes. On his return, Elton told the audience, “I thought I’d better ‘chunder’ in the toilet rather than all over the front row.” I wonder if he was in the middle of Tiny Puker? Oh that old gag.
Former American Idol competitor and ‘Dreamgirls’ co-star Jennifer Hudson has been signed to Arista Records, which since its inception has been home to an illustrious group of award-winning mega-star female artists including Whitney Houston, Aretha Franklin, Dionne Warwick, Annie Lennox, Sarah McLachlan, Dido and others. Hudson will head into the studio next year to begin recording her debut album. There are some rumors going around that on the set of Dreamgirls Beyonce and Jennifer Hudson had some verbal altercations.
Over the weekend, “Happy Feet” took the top spot at the box office over the Thanksgiving weekend, bringing in $37.9 million. The new James Bond film, “Casino Royale” stayed in second place with $31 million. Denzel Washington’s new one, “Déjà vu” led the pack of new releases with $20.8 million and the holiday comedy “Deck the Halls” debuted at #4 with $12 million. Happy Feet has taken in over 100 million dollars in the 10 days it has been released.
OK 2 more stories to report. England’s Princes William and Harry are planning a huge concert for July 1st to commemorate the 10th anniversary of their mother, Princess Diana’s death. The event will be held for Wembley Stadium and will reportedly be broadcast worldwide. I wonder if Elton would show up to perform his hit song.
And finally, there is another celebrity couple to report that has called it quits. Hilary Duff and Joel Madden from Good Charlotte have called off their 2 and a half year relationship. The reason behind it, is said to be the age difference. Joel is 27 years old, while Hilary is a young subtle 19 years young. Good Charlotte is about to launch a national tour. I wonder if he plans on laying hot teen girls on this tour.
