Britney’s father, Jamie, has stepped in to help his daughter regain visitation rights of her two sons. Spears has not seen her sons since her breakdown on January 3. “Jamie Spear’s presence is an extreme positive,” Kevin Federline’s lawyer, Mark Vincent Kaplan, told People. He added that her father’s presence could make it possible “to develop a visitation plan that enables these children to have a mother in their lives.” Hum I just don’t think that 6 weeks is long enough. The longer Britney has to get her head straight, the better.
Pink has split from her husband of two years, motocross racer Carey Hart. The “Who Knew” singer, 28, married 32-year-old Hart in January 2006 at a ceremony in Costa Rica. The star – real name Alecia Moore – recently denied reports her marriage was in trouble but has now confirmed the split. Moore’s publicist Michele Schweitzer insists Pink and Hart have ended their relationship on amicable terms. Hum I wonder if it was Pink’s wondering eye for the Pink Taco that split them up?
Oscar-winner Marlee Matlin will join fellow actors Steve Guttenberg and Shannon Elizabeth on the new season of reality show Dancing With The Stars. Other celebrities competing on the show include R&B singer Mario, funnyman Adam Carolla, TV actors Cristian De La Fuente and Marissa Jaret Winokur, and magician Penn Gillette. Celeb athletes taking part in the competition include Miami Dolphins defensive end Jason Taylor, figure skating champ Kristi Yamaguchi, and tennis champion Monica Seles. The reality dance competition begins March 17th, on ABC. Wow, is it just me or is this the biggest bunch of has beens yet?

Lindsay Lohan’s mother Dina will “set the record straight” about her showbiz family in a new reality show called “Momager.” Dina will show off her life as manager of Lindsay and her other daughter Ali’s showbiz careers in the E! network show – and she promises her A-list offspring will make an appearance to boost ratings. Lohan Sr. says, “This show is more about our family, and Ali’s music, and what we do. Setting the record straight about what’s been written about our family.” “Lindsay will be in and out of the show. She’s my daughter!” But Dina’s ex-husband Michael is skeptical of the role his elder daughter will play in the show – and insists he is having nothing to do with it. He tells the New York Daily News, “Lindsay told me ‘absolutely not’ when I asked if she was going to be involved.” Well Color me there.
Martha Steward’s Omin Media Company is buying up the rights to Emeril Legasse’s cookbooks, television show, and his licensed kitchen products. However the deal does not include his restaurants. The mind-blowing factor is that the deal went down for 50 million dollars. I wonder if Martha had any insider information on this deal.
And finally. Well this is definitely some exciting news. The first new Life episode of Saturday Night Live since the strike, will air on Saturday Night. Tina Fey will be the host while Carrie Underwood will be the performer. Sounds like a good show to me.

A judge has granted a request to name Britney Spears’ older brother a trustee to the troubled singer’s funds. The new ruling will give Bryan Spears, 30, and attorney Ivan Taback the authority to serve temporarily as co-trustee powers to the SJP Revocable Trust, reports TMZ.com The trust had been entirely in the singer’s name, but according to court documents filed Thursday, other executors may be added if the acting trustee “is under a legal disability or if by reason of illness or mental or physical disability, in the written opinion of two doctors then practicing medicine, he or she is unable to manage his or her affairs”. I hope this is another step in the right direction. I guess this means buying a new Benz on a whim is just out of the question.

AI Winner Jordin Sparks will be opening for Alicia Keys on Keys’ upcoming, North American As I Am concert tour. Sparks, who won the Outstanding New Artist award at the 39th NAACP Image Awards Thursday night, will help kick off the Alicia Keys tour April 19 in Hampton, Virginia. Paul McCartney and Heather Mills’ weeklong divorce hearing ended Monday without a deal, and a judge will now impose a settlement on the warring couple. As legal teams left court, McCartney’s lawyer Nicholas Mostyn told reporters that judge Hugh Bennett had reserved his ruling. The judge will now spend several weeks working out a settlement. Mills and McCartney separated in 2006 after four years of marriage. They went to court to decide on Mills’ share of the former Beatle’s fortune, which is estimated at as much as $1.6 billion. The Chinese actress was arrested Wednesday on suspicion of shoplifting two celebrity magazines and two packets of batteries at Los Angeles International Airport. The items had a total value of $16, said Sgt. Jim Holcomb of the airport’s police department. The 41-year-old actress was detained by a store employee who summoned police, Holcomb said. She was booked for investigation of misdemeanor shoplifting and released after agreeing to appear in court on March 5. 41? She does not look a day over 50.
