Jennifer Hudson’s Tragedy

Happy Monday Bitches, and Happy Halloweenie Week.

You all know I hate to start the day on a down side, but this really is the top news story. Chicago police confirm they have found the white Chevrolet Suburban SUV involved in the Jennifer Hudson murder case. MSNBC reports that the body of the male child found in the SUV might be that of Hudson’s 7-year-old nephew Julian King, who was reported missing following the Friday deaths of Hudson’s mother Darnell Hudson and brother, Jason Hudson. On Sunday, Hudson’s sister Julia and mother of Julian, pleaded with her son’s kidnappers. “Let my baby go,” she told reporters. She appeared at a news conference along with the boy’s father, Greg King. Chicago police spokesman Daniel O’Brien said the FBI had been asked to help in the search in case the boy had been taken across state lines, in violation of federal kidnap laws. O’Brien declined to confirm various media reports that police had taken William Balfour into custody as a suspect in the double homicide investigation. Balfour, 27, had a relationship with Hudson’s sister Julia but is not the father of the missing boy. Balfour’s mother said earlier her son and Julia were estranged and that he had nothing to do with the slayings. Nope no witty remark here. My deepest thought go out to Jennifer and her fiancé.

Classes were back in session this weekend with “High School Musical 3: Senior Year” scoring an “A” among U.S. movie-goers, Box Office Mojo said Sunday. The Kenny Ortega-directed romantic comedy piled up an estimated $42 million in U.S. theater box office receipts to grab the No. 1 ranking. Opening at No. 2 was the horror flick “Saw V,” directed by David Hackl, which raked in $30.5 million. The two new movies pushed last weekend’s top two films, “Max Payne” and “Beverly Hills Chihuahua,” down to Nos. 3 and 4 with $7.6 million and “$6.92 million, respectively. I wonder if Vanessa bared her cooter in the movie?

Seth Rogan’s raunchy new comedy Zack and Miri Make a Porno has been banned from several U.S. cinemas – amid fears it may be too crude for viewers. The Megaplex Theaters in Utah towns Salt Lake City, Ogden, Lehi, and Sandy have decided not to show Rogan’s new movie because of its sex and nudity scenes. The film centers on two friends who launch an amateur porn studio, and stars Pineapple Express funnyman Rogan and Elizabeth Banks. But cinema bosses believe the comic romp will be too much for more conservative film fans. When did America become such a prude? I have been a member of several adult web sites for years…Oh wait, What?

John Travolta has decided not to reprise his role as Edna Turnblad in an upcoming sequel to movie musical Hairspray. The Hollywood actor caused a sensation with his critically acclaimed portrayal, cross-dressing and donning a fat-suit for the role. But Travolta is adamant that he won’t be returning for a second installment – because he is not a fan of movie sequels. He tells Moviehole.net, “I think once is enough. I did it and I did it well but I’m not a big sequel guy”. This coming from the guy who did 3 Look Whose Talking Movies?

Julianne Hough is set to have her appendix out Tuesday, a “dancing with the Stars source told E! News exclusively. “She will be dancing tonight,” the insider said Monday, adding that the surgery is “a minor procedure” and Hough could be back on the DWTS dance floor as early as next week. Hough was taken to the hospital last week after complaining of stomach pains while taping a recap episode of DWTS. TMZ, however, offered a slightly different account about what sent her there, reporting Hough plans to announce Tuesday that she has an ovarian cyst and will have her appendix taken out at the same time she has the cyst removed. Maybe the doc can give her bigger mams when she is under the knife. What is she? A small A?

And finally, Gwen Stefani and Gavin Rosedale’s oldest son Kingston is slowly adapting to his role as big brother – and is starting to understand he isn’t the only baby in his parents’ life. The couple welcomed second child Zuma into their family in August, but Rosedale insists two year old Kingston is handling the situation well. He tells People.com, “It’s like, here is this guy, and he’s not leaving. (Kingston) is getting used to that. “Obviously, there are moments that he’s bugged out that someone is in his spot with his mum. His mum is great, so I agree with that. I just can’t complain about it. I think it’s just natural. That’s what happens.” Wow, talk about America’s perfect family.
