Happy Monday Kiddies and away I go.
Travis Barker is relieved he can still play the drums as furiously as ever – less than two months after a plane crash nearly took his life and left him badly burned. The former Blink-182 star was left with second and third degree burns from his feet to his waist and on both hands following a September plane crash in South Carolina, which left four others dead. But the drummer has returned to the studio just weeks later – and is elated he hasn’t lost his sense of rhythm. Speaking on MTV’s Total Request Live final broadcast on Sunday, Barker announced: “I’m already playing my drums again, and I’m already back in the studio. Oh I am still amazed that he is alive after that accident.

Miley Cyrus’ friend Mandy Jiroux says someone posted a fake message supposedly from her on YouTube, falsely reporting the U.S. pop star was dead. E! Online said a video set to Cyrus’ song “Goodbye” and posted on the “Miley and Mandy Show” YouTube page early Sunday featured an alleged message from Jiroux claiming Cyrus had been killed by a drunk driver, even though the teen actress and singer is alive and well. “Hey guys, this is Mandy and I have some very sad news
… We’re very hurt to tell everyone this, but Miley died this morning after being hit by a drunk driver. Miley told us if anything ever happened to her, then we should let her fans know before the public,” the Internet message attributed to Jiroux said. “R.I.P. honey, we will miss you so much.” Damn, well I guess that means she made it, and she is officially famous.

Joe Jonas has denied cheating on Taylor Swift, putting the break-up down to “a change of heart”. Jonas came under fire recently after Swift revealed he had ended their relationship in a 27-second phone call and accused him of dumping her for 10,000 BC actress Camille Belle. But the teen heart-throb has now hit back – and is adamant he was never unfaithful to the country singer. He writes on the band’s official blog, “I never cheated on a girlfriend. It might make someone feel better to assume or imply I have been unfaithful but it is simply not true. Maybe there were reasons for a breakup. Maybe the heart moved on. Perhaps feelings changed.” And Jonas insists that the reason their break-up conversation took place in less than 30 seconds is because Swift slammed the phone down on him. Hum, story changer. Always the sign of a liar.

NBC said Friday it has signed actress and singer Hilary Duff to a one-year, exclusive talent and development deal to star in her own television series. The pact would also allow her to guest star or appear in multiple-episode arcs in various current NBC series, it was announced by Ben Silverman, co-chairman of NBC Entertainment and Universal Media Studios. “Hilary is an incredibly versatile talent with a huge following whose career we know will continue to soar on NBC,” Teri Weinberg, executive vice president of NBC Entertainment, said in a statement. “We are confident we will develop great ideas that would feature her vast talents and are thrilled to have this opportunity.” The new series is to be produced by Universal Media Studios. Wow, how great would Chuck and Duff be? I would feel it.

Lindsay Lohan is trying to avoid the executives at Motown because she doesn’t want to be pressured into completing her third album. The actress/singer admits she’s refusing to return calls and messages from record label bigwigs – because she’s not ready to release another album just yet. She tells Access Hollywood, “I just got off the phone with my Motown manager. I’ve been avoiding calling her back…. I just didn’t want to. With my other records, I kind of just did it, just to do it. Lindsay is still a struggling pop star? I guess that lesbian thing isn’t working out for her.

2 more, than I am out the door. Melissa Joan Hart found it easy to slim down after giving birth – she’s too busy looking after her kids to eat. The Drive Me Crazy actress welcomed son Braydon in March, her second child with husband Mark Wilkerson. And she had no problem shedding her excess weight after the delivery – because being a mom is a full-time job. She tells People.com, “It’s a constant workout. You don’t have time to eat because you’re chasing them all the time!. Good, because nobody likes a fat witch.

And finally, Quantum of Solace, starring Daniel Craig in the latest incarnation of British secret agent 007, raked in an estimated $70.4 million in its opening weekend, knocking the animated Madagascar: Escape 2 Africa to No. 2 despite pulling in $36.13 million for a two-week total of $118.02 million. Next up were Role Models at $11.71 million; High School Musical 3: Senior Year, $5.88 million; and Changeling, $4.25 million. Is it bad to announce that I have never seen any James Bond movie?
