Reality TV star Lauren Conrad will quit The Hills after filming wraps on the upcoming fifth season. The MTV show focuses on Conrad and her friends as they go about their daily lives in Hollywood. However, Conrad admits she is keen to move on from the program that has made her a star – and will make the next season her last. She tells Seventeen magazine, “My biggest thing with the show was that I wanted to walk away from it while it’s still a great thing. “I always want to remember it that way. I gave MTV a deadline and said, ‘This is as long as I can do it and stay sane.’” Good, step aside, and make room for Audrina. She is the real star of the show.

 

 

 

Paula Abdul has hit out at producers of reality TV show American Idol – insisting the recent addition of fourth judge Kara DioGuardi “doesn’t work.” DioGuardi joined Abdul, Simon Cowell and Randy Jackson on the judging panel last month for the eighth season of the hit series. The addition of another female judge fueled rumors of a feud, which Abdul denied – revealing she and DioGuardi are actually old pals. But she insists four judges is too many – citing the failed attempt to add New York radio DJ Angie Martinez to the panel during season two. Abdul tells OK! magazine, “Kara and I have known each other for years and we get along great. But we tried four judges before and it doesn’t work. “It takes up so much time for each of us to give our opinion that it slows down the pace of the show.” But DioGuardi may not be the one to leave at the end of season eight – Abdul hints this could be her last stint on the show, adding, “It is the last season of my contract, and I have so many other things I want to do.” Oh my name is Paula, I am too good for idol, crazy lady please.

 

 

Well it It was only a matter of time before a scandalous story emerged from the Chris Brown and Rihanna drams. And it’s no surprise that a pregnancy rumor is the first log to be thrown on an already burning fire. The tabloid Star is reporting that Rihanna consulted an ob-gyn at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles after telling friends she thought she was pregnant, (not confirming that she was). “She was extremely fidgety. She seemed totally uncomfortable,” an alleged eyewitness at the doctor’s office tells the magazine. Rihanna was also reportedly nervous about Brown’s reaction to the supposed pregnancy. “She was scared he would react badly,” says an insider. However, the mag reports that she did not have a chance to tell Brown. No, not my Rihanna, she is holding on to her V-Card till marriage.

 

 

Aubrey O’Day would consider reuniting with her former Danity Kane bandmates – insisting she would “never say no” to working with the now disbanded group again. The quintet, put together by Puffy for his reality TV series Making The Band, fell apart in January after the shock departures of singers Aubrey O’Day, D. Woods and Shannon Bex from the group last year. Remaining members Dawn Richard and Aundrea Fimbres claimed they would try to “pick up the pieces” of the group, but Richard later admitted she found herself with no choice but to write music for other artists after her own music career was put on ice. But despite the messy demise of the “Damage” hitmakers, and the fact she was fired by Combs, O’Day insists she has fond memories of her days with Danity Kane, O’Day told MTV.com, “Danity Kane was a wonderful group, and like all things, nothing is forever. We had a great run and we were very successful. “I have so much respect for that situation, if there was ever interest in me coming back …and making music with the girls, I would never say no to something like that.” At least she always has her issue of Playboy and her modeling career to fall back on.

 

 

Barenaked Ladies lead singer Steven Page has announced he is leaving the Canadian pop group after more than two decades. “Yes, it’s official. I am no longer a Barenaked Lady. After 20 years (plus a few months,) I’m heading out on my own,” Page wrote in a posting on his official Web site. A message on the band’s official Web site said the Barenaked Ladies plan to continue performing together without Page, the National Post said. “These guys are my brothers. We’ve grown up together over the past 20 years. I love them and wish them all the best in the future,” Page said in a statement on the band’s Web site. Page made headlines last summer when he was arrested in upstate New York on felony drug possession charges. The charges were later reduced to a misdemeanor and Page didn’t have to serve jail time, the Post noted. Oh man, I was a fan of them back in the 1990’s. I even saw them in concert a few times.

 

A day after an arrest was issued, Adnan Ghalib, the photographer ex-boyfriend of Britney Spears found himself on the other end of the paparazzi lens. Tracked by his media colleagues, Ghalib, 36, surrendered Wednesday to face felony charges for allegedly trying to run over a process server. He pleaded innocent in a Van Nuys Superior Court and was released on $110,000 bail. He also went to the police station for formal booking on the warrant, and visited a bail bondsman. On Tuesday, prosecutors charged Ghalib with assault with a deadly weapon, hit-and-run and battery, all worth up to seven years in prison if convicted. The charges include special allegations: use of a deadly weapon – a car – and great bodily injury. Good, I have a funny feeling he might belong behind bars. 

 

It’s a match made in a reality TV heaven: Dancing with the Stars‘ Mark Ballas and former American Idol contestant Joanna Pacitti are a couple! “She is the most supportive person in my life and she’s been great,” Ballas, 22, told PEOPLE Tuesday at the Jonas Brothers: The 3D Concert Experience world premiere in Hollywood. “We get to spend a lot of time together [and] we do pretty much everything together.” Although the two have “been friends for a long time,” the Dancing pro says they only recently started dating eight months ago — when Ballas was training with season 6 champ Kristi Yamaguchi in North Carolina, where Pacitti was living at the time — and clicked because of their similarities. “We both love music, we both love art, we both love dance,” explains Ballas, whose album BHB with best friend and fellow Dancing pro Derek Hough is coming out Mar. 10. “That’s what we’re all about so we are always there for each other.” Wow, she is kind of a star fu**er. She will do anything to get famous.

 

 

And finally, Jimmy Fallon reached into his Saturday Night Live pocket and pulled out a big trick: Music superstar Justin Timberlake will be a guest on Fallon’s very first Late Night show, PEOPLE has learned exclusively. Fallon, the former SNL star who’s taking the reigns of NBC’s talk show from Conan O’Brien beginning March 2, famously costarred with Timberlake in the classic SNL skit, “The Barry Gibbs Talk Show.” Fallon previously announced another guest for his debut behind the desk: Robert DeNiro. “I thought it would be kind of good to have my first guy be probably one of the toughest people you could interview,”  Fallon said during a Feb. 19 phone call with press. Well color me there.

Do not come between Nicky Hilton and her pancakes. The heiress made a citizen’s arrest after she was pushed to the ground by a homeless man at a West Hollywood IHOP Saturday morning. Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department spokesman Steve Whitmore tells Usmagazine.com, “One of our deputies was at the IHOP, having a coffee break, and noticed a waitress run outside because there was a commotion.” Whitmore also told the site that another deputy was called, “because there was a misdemeanor battery that involved Nicky Hilton and a man named Michael Broadhurst. [Hilton}'s OK, but she was desirous of prosecution. She said, 'I am placing you under citizen's arrest!'" Broadhurst is due to appear in court April 21. It is my understanding that she is OK," Whitmore tells Us. "A battery is just an unwanted touching." I wonder if she ordered the Moons Over Mi-ham-I.

 

 

Nicole Richie and Joel Madden are expecting their second child. The Good Charlotte Rock star posted this on his Web site: "I am so happy to tell everyone that Harlow is going to be a big sister! God has truly blessed my family. Hope [you're] all feeling as good as i am right now.” Richie and Madden are proud parents of daughter Harlow Winter Kate Madden, who turned one on Jan. 11. Good for them.

 

 

Sure she is head over heels in love with Robert Pattinson’s Edward Cullen in Twilight but off-camera, Kristen Stewart insists the two are just pals. “Rob and I are good friends. We went through a lot together, so we feel very close,” she tells Nylon magazine. “If we go out in public, every little detail is scrutinized, like the way I stand next to him,” Stewart, who has been dating Michael Angarano since 2006,says. “And it’s like, I know this guy really [expletive] well. It’s only natural that we’re sort of leaning on each other, because we’re put in the most … psychotic situations.” Is it juts me, or does anyone else really not think Robert Pattinson is that hot.

 

 

“Slumdog Millionaire,” praised by its champions as a story of hope over despair, won eight Oscars including one for best picture Sunday night in Los Angeles. The story of a young man who, against all odds, wins on a TV game show as a way to win love, “Slumdog Millionaire” won Oscars for director Danny Boyle and screenwriter Simon Beaufoy, as well as best score for A.R. Rahman and original song, “Jai Ho.”  It also won for cinematography, film editing and sound mixing. Kate Winslet won her first Oscar, a best actress award for “The Reader,” and Sean Penn won his second Academy Award, a best actor prize for “Milk.” The late Heath Ledger was honored posthumously with a supporting actor Oscar for “The Dark Knight” and Penelope Cruz won the supporting actress trophy for “Vicky Cristina Barcelona.” The 81st Academy Awards were presented Sunday night at the Kodak Theatre in Hollywood, in ceremonies televised live on ABC with actor Hugh Jackman as host. Why can’t mainstream movies such as Dark Knight or Zack and Miri Make A Porno have been nominated for the big awards. Oh wait, that’s what the MTV movie awards are for.

 

 

Embattled R&B star Chris Brown bought gifts on birthday girl Rihanna to a bid to heal the rift between the pair, according to the New York Daily News. The Umbrella singer put on a brave face and celebrated turning 21 with a low-key bash at a rented home in the Hollywood Hills less than two weeks after she was allegedly beaten by her pop star beau. Brown was charged by Los Angeles police with making criminal threats following the incident, which left Rihanna needing hospital treatment. And the Bajan beauty tried to forget about her horrific ordeal by partying with friends on Friday – the same day a shocking snap of what appeared to a be a badly bruised Rihanna was leaked to celebrity website TMZ.com. But, despite facing possible jail time over the alleged attack, Brown is desperate to try and win her back – buying the star a diamond bracelet and necklace before making an emotional phone call to ask for forgiveness. Since when do diamonds say I am sorry for allegedly putting your hands on a woman.

 

 

Alright 2 more. Former Spice Girl Melanie “Sporty Spice” Chisholm has given birth to her first child. The singer and her partner of six years Thomas Starr are celebrating after welcoming baby daughter Scarlet Starr at an unnamed London hospital on Sunday .   A post on Chisholm’s official website reads: “Melanie C gave birth to a beautiful little girl at 4.10pm on Sunday 22nd February. The baby weighed 8lb 3oz. Both Mum and baby, named Scarlet Starr, are doing fine.” Eh, I would have pegged her for a turkey-baister kind of girl.

 

 

And finally, The rumors started when his likeness was removed from his record’s Web site and now Clay Aiken is setting the record straight: the former American Idol has parted ways with RCA Records, Aiken’s rep has confirmed exclusively to PEOPLE. “We were unable to come to terms in a recent contract negotiation, and decided that it was best to move on,” the rep, Cindi Berger, said Friday.. The buzz about Aiken’s exit was fueled earlier this week when his picture disappeared online and Billboard, citing unnamed sources, reported Friday that Aiken, 30, had been dropped by the label. How come I have a sneaking suspicion that a gay porn tape might be leaked to the Internet soon.

John Mayer says he is planning to escort his girlfriend, actress Jennifer Aniston, to the upcoming Oscars ceremony in Los Angeles. Aniston’s ex-husband Brad Pitt and his girlfriend Angelina Jolie are both nominated for Academy Awards this year. The winners will be announced at Sunday’s Oscars show. “I’ll give you the scoop. I’m going to the Oscars. That’s a PopSugar scoop. It’s my first Oscars. And it’s my first being an Oscar boyfriend,” Mayer told PopSugar.com. “After that night I have a deal almost signed in blood that says I must go into the studio and finish this record. So, after Oscar Sunday, Monday morning I’m invisible. My goal is to not be on PopSugar for at least three months. That would mean I’m working. So it was great to win some Grammys but I’m happy to get back to work.” PopSugar.com said Aniston is rumored to be a presenter at the awards ceremony. Wow, that is going to be an awkward situation.

 

 

Jumper co-stars Rachel Bilson and Hayden Christensen got engaged in December, People.com reports. “They’re so excited,” a friend of the actress tells People.com. “They’re a great couple. Rachel seems thrilled beyond belief.” No wedding date has been set. The news was first reported by the New York Post. Wow, I thought he was a little ring-a-ding-ding. And besides, he is no Seth Cohen.

 

 

The president of the Learning Channel says Nadya Suleman, the California woman who recently gave birth to octuplets, won’t be getting her own TLC show. Suleman, who is single and unemployed, has been criticized for having eight babies through in vitro fertilization when she already has six young children at home and receives food stamps.  “TLC is not pursuing any program at this time with Nadya Suleman,” TLC’s Eileen O’Neill told Us Weekly in a statement. “We wish the family well.” The network had initially said it was watching how the Suleman story unfolded to see if there was the potential for a television series. TLC is the home of Jon and Kate Plus 8, a reality show about a family with sextuplets. The Web site by which Suleman had been soliciting donations was also recently shut down because of alleged death threats, Usmagazine.com said. And TMZ reports that the home Suleman lives in with her mother could go on the auction block – because rent payments have not been made since May 2008. Suleman’s mother owns the home, but is behind on payments totaling over $20,000. Phew, that puts my mind at ease.

 

 

Chris Brown has hired the publicist who helped actor Mel Gibson deal with a scandal a few years ago, MTV.co.uk reported. Brown, 19, was arrested for allegedly threatening his 20-year-old girlfriend Rihanna earlier this month. Media reports have claimed he beat her and subsequent charges may be filed against him as the investigation continues. Brown is due to be arraigned next month. MTV.co.uk said Brown has enlisted the help of public relations giant Alan Nierob, the man who advised Gibson after he made anti-Semitic remarks in 2006 while being arrested for drunken driving. “Words cannot begin to express how sorry and saddened I am over what transpired,” Brown said in a statement released this week. “I am seeking the counseling of my pastor, my mother and other loved ones and I am committed, with God’s help, to emerging a better person.” So is that a confessional? Is he admitting to attempting to choke our Rihanna.

 

 

Lindsay Lohan has blasted reports she is romancing Chace Crawford after ending her relationship with Samantha Ronson. The Mean Girls star sparked speculation she and the Gossip Girl actor were an item after they enjoyed a night out with pals at New York City restaurant Southern Hospitality on Sunday. Lohan was later filmed by paparazzi at Crawford’s apartment building in the early hours of Monday morning. But the actress is adamant the visit wasn’t a romantic one – and insists she is still committed to her DJ girlfriend Ronson. She says, “It’s not true. I am happy with Samantha. Chace is a mutual friend of ours. It was just a bunch of people hanging out, nothing more. I’m back home with my girl now.” Ewww, to go from Carrie Underwood to Lindsay Lohan…Nasts.

 

 

Heath Ledger’s performance in The Dark Knight has garnered praise throughout the awards season. And if the late actor wins the Oscar for best supporting actor this Sunday, his daughter Matilda, 3, has been named the eventual owner, according to the Associated Press. Matilda is the only child of the star, who died of an accidental overdose of prescription drugs last year. He was 28. “In the event that Heath Ledger should be selected as the supporting actor recipient, the statuette will be held in trust for his daughter by her mother, the chick from Dawson’s Creek, Matilda reaches the age of 18,” Bruce Davis, executive director of the academy, told the AP. “At that point, she may execute what we call an heir’s agreement and keep the statuette forever – or, if she chooses not to do that, it will return to us.” If and when Matilda signs the contract, she would be entitled to receive the statuette on her 18th birthday, Oct. 28, 2023. Awww, that will be a tear-jerker of a moment.

 

 

Hayden Panettiere & Milo Ventimiglia have ended their relationship, PEOPLE has learned. “They lead different lifestyles. He’s 31, she’s 19. She still has growing up to do and he’s very low-key,” a source close to the couple tells PEOPLE. “The relationship never seemed like it had legs.” That’s it fellas. Hayden Pantydropper is now on the market.

 

 

And finally, Something fishy in Tracy Morgan’s pad sparked a four-alarm fire. The 30 Rock star blames a defective fish tank for igniting a minor blaze in Morgan’s Upper West Side residence Tuesday. “A fire broke out in my Manhattan apartment this morning, apparently starting with a lamp attached to my fish tank,” says Morgan, who was not home at the time of the fire. “The sprinklers promptly activated and the NYFD came by to make sure it was contained. Fortunately, the fire did not spread and no one in the building was injured—even the fish are OK. My thanks to the New York Fire Department for their quick action.” Some 25 units, comprising 78 firefighters, arrived on the scene around 8:30 a.m. Damage was said to be minimal, mainly smoke damage to the walls of his 16th floor pad at Trump Place. Adjacent apartments and units below Morgan’s sustained some water damage, presumably from the hoses, not the aquarium. Um and I would have thought it would have been drug related. Oh I kid.
