LC Going
Wednesday, April 29th, 2009Happy Wednesday kiddies and away I go.
Newlyweds Spencer Pratt and Heidi Montag are upset with the drunken behavior of the bride’s mother and sister at their pre-wedding rehearsal dinner. The couple, who exchanged vows on Saturday, has revealed that the two Montags embarrassed the wedding party with comments they made over dinner. Pratt says, “There was a little something… Her sister and her mom did something that I didn’t think was very appropriate for a rehearsal dinner… Alcohol and weddings just are not supposed to mix (sic).” And his new wife insists her family’s bad behavior wasn’t limited to the pre-wedding celebrations: “They were very out of line this weekend.” But the Pratts are refusing to go into details, insisting all will be revealed when the wedding footage is aired on an upcoming episode of their reality TV show The Hills. Phoning in from a pre-honeymoon break in Mexico on Tuesday, Pratt teased Los Angeles radio DJ Ryan Seacrest, stating, “Tune in. We’ll just say (at) the rehearsal dinner, some manners were… There’s something going on that shouldn’t be.” Ha, how much would I have paid to have been a fly on the wall for that wedding.

Jamie Lynn Spears’ boyfriend Casey Aldridge has been moved out of intensive care and is on the road to recovery following Sunday’s car crash, according to his uncle. Aldridge, who shares 10-month-old daughter Maddie with Spears, swerved into a ditch while driving down a Louisiana highway and was airlifted to the University of Mississippi Medical Center with head injuries. Three of the five people riding in the truck – including Aldridge himself – were thrown from the vehicle as it flipped over. Aldridge suffered mild brain trauma and a fractured skull, while another passenger sustained a broken collarbone, and a third injured his hip. But the 19-year-old has been responding well to treatment and was moved out of intensive care on Tuesday. His uncle Odus Jackson tells E! News, “It was a big scare there for a moment, but he got moved out of ICU and is doing good.” So how long before Casey is asked to appear on Dancing With The Stars?

Sean Penn has filed for legal separation from his wife of 13 years, Robin Wright Penn. News of the split comes just two days after the couple’s 13th wedding anniversary, and just months after they reunited. Penn originally filed for divorce back in 2007. The actor first fueled rumors of a second split when he failed to mention Wright Penn during his Best Actor acceptance speech at the Academy Awards in February. Then last month, he was rumored to be romancing actress Natalie Portman. Those reports were denied by sources close to Penn, but on Friday he filed court documents to make their separation official, according to ExtraTV.com. The couple share 18-year-old daughter, Dylan, and 15-year-old son Hopper. They sought joint custody of their kids during their 2007 divorce proceedings. Wow, is it just me or is he hitting on Natalie Portman kind of creepy.

Sarah Jessica Parker and Matthew Broderick are set to become parents again – to surrogate twins. The couple, who wed in 1997, are expecting twin daughters – their second and third kids, and sisters for six-year-old son James Wilke. A representative for the couple confirms, “Sarah Jessica Parker and Matthew Broderick are happily anticipating the birth of their twin daughters later this summer with the generous help of a surrogate. The entire family is overjoyed.” The surprise baby news comes just weeks after Parker and Broderick were forced to defend their marriage in the wake of reports of infidelity. The Sex & The City star recently waved the rumors away, stating, “We don’t even bother to address them. Let’s just hope that the kids do not get her horse faith and his zig-a-zay-ah tendencies.

Donald Trump fans rejoice: NBC has announced that it is picking up its campy reality series Celebrity Apprentice for another cycle to air in Spring 2010. This season’s edition, featuring Joan Rivers, Clint Black, and poker champ Annie Duke, has been averaging 8.6 million viewers per week. Next season will mark the third celeb cycle for the series, after six non-celeb seasons, the last of which aired in 2007. Good for the has-beens. Who are they going to cast in Season 3? Mr. T?

And finally, MTV will air the second half of the fifth season of The Hills this fall, the network announced. HBIC Lauren Conrad, however, will not appear in the new episodes. While a statement from MTV indicates that Conrad “has moved on,” Tony DiSanto, a development veep for the channel, pointedly declined to confirm her exit from the show. Instead, he told TVGuide.com that shooting had not yet begun, and that any of the show’s cast members could appear at any time. Barring a surprise reappearance of Conrad, the fall season will star Audrina Patridge, Brody Jenner and Lo Bosworth, as well as newlyweds Spencer Pratt and Heidi Montag, who are now poised to take center stage. No offence but with no LC, I will not be watching.
