Happy Wednesday Kiddies, and this is going to be a smallish update, I am beat.
Rumors of a split between Nick Lachey and Vanessa Minnillo refuse to go away – the TV beauty has been forced to deny she is romancing her Disaster Movie co-star Matt Lanter. Lachey – who split from Jessica Simpson in 2006 after four years of marriage – has been dating TV presenter/actress Minnillo since 2007. The romance was rumored to be in trouble last week and a representative for Lachey came forward to deny the pair had broken up. But speculation about a possible split has been reignited following reports that Minnillo spent an evening in Los Angeles with 90210 actor Lanter. New York Post gossip column PageSix also alleges the duo were getting cozy at a local nightspot. However, a representative for Minnillo has blasted the claims, insisting the pair is friends because “they made a film together.” I wonder if he slid his ween inside her Minnillo envelope if you know what I am talking about.

Rihanna is attempting to bounce back from the Chris Brown debacle by headlining an all girl tour that will also feature Ciara and Keisha Cole. The “Umbrella” singer is lining up a series of dates in North American for this coming September and the two feisty females are in negotiations to join her. A source tells Eonline.com, “Rihanna wants strong women to join her. This is a ‘women empowerment’ type of tour.” Rihanna will make her first solo stage appearance since her alleged altercation with ex-boyfriend Brown in Dubai next month. The singer hasn’t performed since late January – 10 days before she was allegedly beaten during a fight on the eve of the Grammy Awards. She canceled a concert in Malaysia on February 13 as she recovered from the attack, which left her beaten black and blue. Sounds like a pretty decent show if you ask me.

Britney Spears has escaped testifying in her ongoing battle to win permanent restraining orders against three of her former companions – a judge has declared she is not fit to take the stand. The star’s father, Jamie Spears, who has been appointed conservator of her estate, took to the courts earlier this year in a bid to extend protective orders against former manager Sam Lutfi, lawyer Jon Eardley, and ex-boyfriend Adnan Ghalib. A Los Angeles judge last month granted the restraining order against Ghalib, which will be in place for three years. But Lutfi and Eardley are still contesting the case in court, with Eardley filing papers demanding the singer testify at the hearing. Eardley, the attorney Spears allegedly hired to fight her conservatorship case in 2008, argued that if the Toxic hit maker is well enough to perform a major tour, she should be able to attend court and give evidence. But Eardley’s request has been denied by Los Angeles Superior Court Judge Akiva Bobb, who upheld a previous ruling on Tuesday that states Spears isn’t mentally fit to make her own legal decisions. Oh man that does not sound good. I thought she was doing so well.

Lawrence Taylor became the latest celebrity cast out from the “Dancing with the Stars” competition Tuesday night in Los Angeles. The former NFL player thanked ABC and his professional dance partner Edyta Sliwinska for helping him take a shot at the show’s coveted mirror ball trophy, the Columbus Ledger-Enquirer reported. “She’s taught me everything I know about dancing,” Taylor said of Sliwinska. “He definitely taught me everything I know about golf … . It was an honor to get to know you,” Sliwinska replied. Still in the dance competition, along with their pro partners, are Chuck Wicks, Lil’ Kim, Shawn Johnson, Melissa Rycroft, Gilles Marini and Ty Murray. He sure is no Jerry Rice or Emmit Smith, even if he did rule The Giants.

Jill Scott is a first-time mother at 36 – she has given birth to a baby boy. The singer/actress welcomed Jett Hamilton Roberts into the world on Monday with fiancé John Roberts by her side. Little Jett weighed in at seven pounds, eight ounces at birth. Scott became engaged to Roberts last June. The pair began dating after her marriage to DJ Lyzel Williams ended after five years in 2007. Seriously, who uses normal names any more.

Lane Garrison leaves prison in the next few weeks having settled litigation filed by the victims of the crash of a car driven by the intoxicated actor. While no settlement amounts were released, the lawsuit brought by the parents of 17-year-old Beverly Hills High School student Vahagn Setian, who was killed in the 2006 accident, sought damages from the former Prison Break star for wrongful death and gross negligence. The action filed by injured passenger Michelle Ohana, who was 15 at the time, sought payment for medical bills, lost wages and home nursing care. Garrison is currently in state prison finishing up a 40-month sentence vehicular manslaughter. A spokesman for California Department of Corrections tells PEOPLE that Garrison is expected to be paroled in the next “few weeks.” Well at least he has a cool prison name, Lane Garrison. Sounds tough to me.

Here is a nice Part B of a story I reported on Monday. Heidi Montag and Spencer Pratt are stealing the spotlight once again — this time with news of their upcoming wedding. The rest of the cast of The Hills — including Lauren Conrad, Audrina Patridge, Brody Jenner and even Spencer’s sister Stephanie — were all buzzing about the nuptials at the Paley Fest at Hollywood’s Arclight Cinemas on Tuesday. Audrina, who plans on attending the ceremony, told reporters, “They’re two peas in a pod … I can’t see either of them with anyone else.” Brody, who will also attend, agreed. “They just work together,” he said. “There’s a lot of people out there, you never know if you’re going to click with them or not, and they seem to click and that’s all that matters … Obviously, it works out for them, and I’m happy for them.” I am about to cough up 10 bucks and get involved in a pool to see how long their marriage will actually last.

Is marriage taming Kendra Wilkinson? Hint: She still has a stripper pole. “A guy should fall in love with who they met, you know what I’m saying?” the reality stat tells E in an interview scheduled to air Tuesday on The Daily 10. “I never change. Her Fiancé Hank Baskett knows where I come from, he knows I lived at the Playboy mansion for the last five years of my life. I still am wild – but not as wild.” As for that stripper pole, well, Wilkinson, 23, says she uses it for exercise only. “It’s strictly workout. That’s all it is. At first when I told him about the stripper pole, he did not know what it was. He was like, ‘Are you serious? No, you can’t do that.’ “ Now that is really not that big of a deal. I have made enough deposits in to the spank bank for her past work.

And finally, On Jackass, viewers watched him gag inside a helmet full of crickets and bob for jellyfish. On Dancing with the Stars, they watched as he danced the foxtrot and Viennese waltz. Now on a new unflinching MTV special, Steve-O: Demise and Rise, viewers will witness his longtime struggle with drugs and alcohol as well as his recent decision to sober up. PEOPLE has an exclusive clip of the program. Even before Jackass and the spin-off Wildboyz, Steve-O, now 34, has been documenting his life on tape, including his days at the Ringling Brothers and Barnum & Bailey Clown College, which led to a job at a flea-market circus. There, he says, he was a “cocaine-addicted clown,” who performed “two shows on Friday, three shows on Saturday and three shows on Sunday, and typically I would do cocaine through all of it without sleeping.” Oh, I actually feel king of bad for him. I see him in a whole new light after his trip on DWTS.
