Lindsay Lohan’s father denies allegations he threatened to kill his girlfriend and himself if she left him.  Michael Lohan faces misdemeanor charges of aggravated harassment as a result of a police report his girlfriend Erin Muller filed March 18.  Newsday quoted Lohan as saying Wednesday Muller had been manipulated by a friend into filing the report.  He declined to discuss the incident in detail, but insisted: “I literally did not threaten to kill Erin or myself at any point … I think I’ll be totally vindicated,” the newspaper said.  Lohan is scheduled to appear in court regarding the matter June 10.   Way to keep the family in the news Michael, good job.

American Idol organizers have slammed reports accusing them of rigging the votes on the latest season of the hit series – after reps for the show’s sponsor told fans how to log more support for winner Kris Allen.  According to the New York Times, Idol sponsor, telecommunications company AT&T, sent representatives to two finale parties last week which were supporting Allen’s bid to become the show’s next champion.  The reps reportedly gave tips to Allen’s fans on how to ‘power-text’ their votes, while providing them with phones from which they could send 10 message votes at the touch of a button. The publication accused them of violating the rules of the show, by using “technical enhancements” to increase a contestant’s voting power.  At the end of the series, Allen was crowned the winner after receiving more votes than competitor Adam Lambert. But, while AT&T executives admit their staff did show fans how to vote for Allen, bosses at Ido’s Fox TV network insist they have done nothing wrong – because all voting procedures were closely monitored by an independent reviewer.  A statement from Fox bosses reads, “Fox and the producers of American Idol are absolutely certain that the results of this competition are fair, accurate and verified. Kris Allen is, without a doubt, the American Idol. We have an independent third-party monitoring procedure in place to ensure the integrity of the voting process. In no way did any individuals unfairly influence the outcome of the competition.” And AT&T execs are adamant that the extra votes did not hamper Lambert’s chances of success.  Wait, AT&T better not be doing shady stuff, they support me.

Sean Penn’s on-off marriage to Robin Wright Penn seems to be on again – the pair was spotted at a Memorial Day bash just days after the actor called off their legal separation.  The Oscar-winner initially filed papers for a “legal separation with minor children” in April, just days before the couple’s 13th wedding anniversary.  Penn reportedly dismissed the bid earlier this month after spotting his partner enjoying life as a single woman at the Cannes Film Festival.   And it seems the pair is giving the relationship another go – they turned up to a party at Hollywood producer Joel Silver’s house in Malibu, California on Monday, and spent the evening enjoying drinks with Tom Hanks and Robert Downey Jr.
It’s not the first time the couple has split only to reunite months later – they started divorce proceedings in December 2007 only to officially end the separation four months later.  Good for Spicoli.

Freddie Prinze Jr. has joined the cast of 24 for the popular TV drama’s eighth season,  entertainment industry sources told The Hollywood Reporter.  Prinze reportedly will play Davis Cole, a U.S. Marine who wants to follow in the footsteps of the show’s hero, Jack Bauer, who is played by Kiefer Sutherland.  Other additions to the show in the upcoming season include actors Anil Kapoor, Chris Diamantopoulos and John Boyd.  Shooting on the new season began this week, The Hollywood Reporter said.  Prinze’s film credits include I Know What You Did Last Summer, She’s All That and Scooby-Doo. He also starred in the short-lived TV sit-com Freddie and had a recurring role on Boston Legal.   Nice, maybe Buffy can come on-board as Bauer’s super hot daughter.

When you watch that super awkward make-up talk,  she has with former BFF Heidi Montag, you’re only seeing half the story, The Hills star Lauren Conrad says.  In fact, producers of the show kept pushing her to meet up with her frenemy throughout the fifth season — Conrad’s last.  “What they didn’t get is that I didn’t want to fight with her anymore,” Conrad says in the July issue of Cosmopolitan,  “It’s hard to look at somebody who used to be your best friend and say, ‘We can’t be friends. Too much has happened.’ I’m trying to move on, but they won’t let me. And when someone keeps pushing you into the same position well … you get upset.”  Now 23 years old, Conrad says she’s ready to move on from having her life played out in front of the cameras, especially since she’s now sharing that suddenly no-frills life with actor Kyle Howard.  Well, I go for the Hills for the Thrills.

And finally, Donna Martin, I mean Tori Spelling tucking into filet mignon and mashed potatoes after the sunset nuptials of two of her best guy pals in Indian Wells, Calif. It was a weekend of family fun in the desert for Spelling and hubby Dean McDermott, who hosted wedding festivities for friends Bill Horn and Scout Masterson. After the dinner, Spelling danced late into the night with a crowd that included the newly married couple and her 2-year-old son Liam – who tore up the dancefloor for hours and even showed off some solo moves. Meanwhile, McDermott spent quality time with his 10-year-old son Jack while daughter Stella, 11 months, dozed nearby in a nanny’s arms.   Good for her for being a hands on mom.

Happy Tuesday Kiddies and away I go.  I know, I know, it has been a little over a week, let me have it.

Brazilian supermodel Adriana Lima is going to be a mom!   Lima, a Victoria’s Secret Angel, and her husband NBA star Marko Jaric, are expecting their first child together, reps for the couple confirm to PEOPLE exclusively. Lima is due this winter.   “Adriana and Marko are overjoyed that they are expecting their first child together and are excited to share the happy news and start their family together,” say reps.  The couple eloped on Valentine’s Day this year, tying the knot in a small, private civil ceremony in Jackson Hole, Wyoming.   “We are so excited about our future together,” Lima told PEOPLE at the time.   Lima and Jaric, who plays for the Memphis Grizzlies, met in 2006 and got engaged two years later on Lima’s 27th birthday.   Eh, I hope she gets her pre-pregnancy body back.

Already boasting a toned, petite body, Kendra Wilkinson’s pre-wedding fitness strategy is simple: If it isn’t broke, don’t fix it.   “I’m not really doing anything different,” Wilkinson, 23, tells PEOPLE. “We love to hike and go on bike rides.”   The Girls Next Door star also credits a certain, ahem, bedroom activity for staying in shape. “A lot of that,” fiancé Hank Baskett, 26, adds, smiling.   With the wedding a month away, the couple took a little time off from planning and headed to Las Vegas on Friday where Wilkinson hosted the Wet Republic pool party at MGM Grand.   “The planning is great,” Wilkinson says, “but we just want to walk down the aisle, say ‘I do’ and go to the honeymoon.” Oh that Kendra, doing anything to make a buck.  I wonder then their sex tape will be “illegally stolen” and leaked on the Internet.

Move over New Jersey, here comes Washington, D.C.!  On Tuesday, Bravo announced that it is expanding its popular Real Housewives franchise once again, this time heading to the nation’s capital and seeking women for The Real Housewives of D.C.  “We’re tapping personalities who are among Washington D.C.’s influential players, cultural connoisseurs, fashion sophisticates and philanthropic leaders,” Frances Berwick, Executive Vice President and General Manager, Bravo Media, said in a statement. “The people who rub elbows with the most  prominent people in the country and easily move in the city’s diverse political and social circles.”  That better not mean that Dina is not any less important.

Well, she has come a long way from her days belting out bubblegum hits like “Candy,” touring with the Backstreet Boys and dating Wilmer Valderrama. But sometimes even Mandy Moore can’t believe she’s all grown-up!   “Marriage is such a mark of adulthood in my mind,” Moore, 25, tells PEOPLE. “It still feels not entirely real. Things are wonderful, and there’s such a peaceful settledness about it. But sometimes I can’t wrap my head around it. It seems bizarre but really cool at the same time, like, ‘Wow – I did that!’ “   Moore married singer-songwriter Ryan Adams, 34, on March 10 in Savannah, Ga., in a top secret super low key ceremony that she calls “quirky and random.”  Good I am happy for the two of them.

Brooke Shields got a head start in modeling and acting, but the one thing she regrets not doing sooner? Having sex.   “I think I would have had sex a lot earlier,” the actress tells Health Magazine its June issue. “I think I would have been much more in touch with myself.”   In fact, Shields, 44, feels that losing her virginity sooner could have helped her with body image as a young adult.  “I think I wouldn’t have had issues with weight – I carried this protective 20 pounds [in college]. It was all connected,” she says. “I think I would have lost my virginity earlier than I did at 22.”   Though Shields reveals that she didn’t learn “to love the way I looked earlier,” now that she’s older, she’s not letting age hold her back.  Eh, anything to keep your name in the public eye.  What’s next?  Alicia Silverstone saying that she was homeless and lived in her van growing up?

There is more to life than being ridiculously good looking. Just ask Ben Stiller.   Zac Efrom, will present the Zoolander star, 43, with MTV’s Generation Award at the upcoming Movie Awards, the network confirms to MSN.   Stiller has appeared in dozens of films – Reality Bites, There’s Something About Mary, Meet the Parents, Dodgeball: A True Underdog Story, Tropic Thunder and Night at the Museum: Battle at the Smithsonian, which opens Friday – and worked in Hollywood as a director, producer and writer.   Van Toffler, President of MTV Network  Music/Logo/Film Group, cited Stiller’s “versatility and talent” as reasons for honoring him at the Movie Awards, set to air on Sunday “Ben is a comedic chameleon, able to make the leap between drama and full-out comedy while maintaining his own unique brand of subversive humor,” he said in a statement. “Whether it’s fighting a monkey in a museum or licking a decapitated head, nothing is ever off-limits for him and that’s the type of warped creative vision and commitment MTV loves to reward.”   Stiller is already expressing his appreciation for the recognition – in his own way: “I am honored to be getting the ‘Generation Award,’ ” the star says in his own statement. “I was given my first show at MTV, and also cancelled for the first time. I also was secretly having an affair with JJ Jackson, so it brings back pleasant memories.”   The Movie Awards are always a good time on MTV, I am there.

David Cook, on the verge of relinquishing his title Wednesday night, told Ryan at the start of the two-hour finale: “I don’t know that America can get this wrong.”  Actually, America’s decision will be a point of considerable debate in the next day and maybe even days beyond that — with just under 100 million votes cast, dark horse Kris Allen beat out Adam Lambert, who for weeks has been considered the all-but-inevitable champ.  This is the biggest upset in eight seasons. The result was an even bigger surprise considering that — as even Kris’s supporters would concede — Adam gave the stronger performance on the Tuesday performance show. Simon anointed him a “worldwide star.”  Apparently stunned by the news of his victory, Kris couldn’t help but stammer, “Adam deserves this.”   Oh, please! Adam was the most acclaimed Idol contestant ever, but also one of the most divisive.   At any rate, it was an exciting jolt at the end of a long two hours. The show started with the 13 season finalists dressed in white, as if they had just died and were arriving in the afterlife.  It was a killer episode, and as long as that scrub Danny Gokey didn’t win, I was a happy camper.

And finally, After being spotted kissing Rihanna on Monday, actor-turned-rapper Aubrey “Drake” Graham says he and the singer are “just friends.”   Appearing on New York’s Hot 97 radio station Thursday morning, Graham confirmed that he and the 21-year-old Barbadian beauty were indeed hanging out in New York – but denied they are dating.   “I have the most utmost respect for her,” he told the station’s hosts. “I think she’s so talented.”   The rapper repeatedly shot down questions about any budding relationship between the two after being pressed for more details. “Nah, nah, nah, It’s not like that at all,” he said.” I’m being honest, man. She’s just a friend that’s all.”   Drake and Rihanna, who was honored Wednesday night at Island Def Jam’s Spring Collection music preview with a plaque for selling 16 million albums worldwide, spent Monday bowling with a group of friends at New York’s Lucky Strike.   Um isn’t he that little scrub from that teeny-bopper show Degrassi?

Mel Gibson’s girlfriend Oksana Grigorieva is pregnant with the actor-director’s child, an unidentified source told the U.S. celebrity news Web site TMZ.com.  The insider said Grigorieva, a 39-year-old singer signed to Gibson’s Icon Records label, is in the second trimester of her pregnancy.  Robyn, Gibson’s wife of 28 years, filed for divorce April 13.  The former couple, who have seven children together, reportedly had been separated for about two years.  TMZ.com said Gibson has told his soon-to-be-ex-wife and his older children about his girlfriend’s pregnancy.   Damn, well that was quick.

Robert Pattinson, Kristen Stewart and Taylor Lautner are to present a preview of their film New Moon at the 2009 MTV Movie Awards in Universal City, California.  “The never-before-seen clip is a first look at the much-anticipated next installment in the Summit Entertainment (Twilight Saga) vampire film franchise that became a pop-culture phenomenon,” MTV said in a news release Monday. “MTV will continue to increase the star power as movie megastars Sandra Bullock, Dwayne Johnson, Sienna Miller, Channing Tatum, Bradley Cooper, Abigail Breslin, Thomas Lennon, Danny McBride and Sofia Vassilieva are added to the growing list of Hollywood’s hottest names to hand out popcorn awards this year.”  The stars join the list of previously revealed presenters Denzel Washington, Cameron Diaz, Ryan Reynolds, Will Ferrell, Vanessa Hudgens, Leighton Meester, Jonah Hill and Lil Wayne.  The prize presentation is to be broadcast live from the Gibson Amphitheatre May 31, MTV said.   Eh, I am unimpressed.  But I bet all those Edward lovers will have their dvr’s set and ready to go.

Fergie has become the latest celebrity to admit to a lesbian romp.   The Black Eyed Peas singer follows fellow Americans Lindsay Lohan, Lady GaGa and Megan Fox in revealing that she is bisexual.   Fergie, who married Josh Duhamel in January, told The Sun: “Put it this way, I’ve experimented definitely, but I have never had a steady girlfriend.”  Woohoo, even though she is a little manly, bisexual girls rock.

From bisexuals to lesbians.  Cynthia Nixon says she is engaged to her longtime girlfriend Christine Marinoni.  Nixon is a Tony Award winner probably best known for her portrayal of Miranda in the Sex and the City TV show and its big-screen follow-up.  E! News said the actress announced her engagement during the weekend’s Love, Peace and Marriage Equality rally in New York, which is where she and Marinoni live.   The couple, who reportedly got engaged last month, have been together since 2003. E! News did not say when they plan to exchange wedding vows.  Nixon has two children with her former boyfriend Danny Mozes.   Good for her.  Happy lesbians mean happy people.

Actress Brooke Shields says tabloid reporters checked her mother out of a New Jersey nursing home where the senior was staying for her safety.   The “Blue Lagoon” star said her 75-year-old mother Teri was taken from an assisted living center in Old Tappan, N.J., Thursday by reporters allegedly working on a story for The National Enquirer, People.com reported Friday.   “My mother Teri Shields has been diagnosed with dementia. For her safety, she has temporarily been in a senior living facility, a very difficult decision for me,” Shields, 43, said in a statement.   “Late Thursday afternoon, I was alerted by Old Tappan Police that my mother had been signed out of the facility by two reporters of the National Enquirer … who falsely claimed they were friends of hers.”   The National Enquirer had no comment regarding the allegations by the “Suddenly Susan” actress.  Wow, not cool sleazy magazines.  Report celebrity gossip with respect.

Playboy model and reality television personality Holly Madison has signed on to join the cast of Peepshow in Las Vegas, BASE Entertainment said Monday.  Madison is slated to start performances in the stage show, which is billed as a “striptease spectacular,” June 22.  Madison is known for her work on the TV series The Girls Next Door and Dancing with the Stars.  She is expected to take over the role of Bo Peep, “a modern woman who has yet to find her own confidence and sexuality,” BASE said in a news release.  The role is currently played by General Hospital’s Kelly Monaco, a Dancing with the Stars champion.  “It’s always been a dream of mine to be in a classy burlesque show,” Madison said in a statement. “I’m really thrilled to be a part of ‘Peepshow’ and to get a chance to work with a  choreographer like Jerry Mitchell. I want to thank BASE Entertainment for the opportunity. I can’t wait to get to Planet Hollywood and get started.”  “We are thrilled to have Holly Madison join ‘Peepshow,’” said Scott Zeiger, co-chief executive officer of BASE Entertainment. “She is the perfect addition to our stunning lineup and she will bring her own special talents to the stage at Planet Hollywood.”  Well you know what they say, once a skank always a skank.

Rap Superstar T.I will turn himself in to authorities in Arkansas by noon on May 26 to begin a 366-day jail sentence.  The “Live Your Life” hitmaker, real name Clifford Harris, Jr., was handed the sentence in March following his 2007 arrest for illegal weapons possession.   He will spend his time behind bars at a low security prison in Forrest City, according to TMZ.com.   But the hip-hop star will be eligible for early release if he behaves himself while incarcerated – and could walk free after serving just 10 months.  Good for him, taking responsibility for his actions.

Fans of Dancing with the Stars pro Julianne Hough haven’t been happy ever since the 20-year-old two-time champ said she will not be back next season.  Hough, who danced with her boyfriend, country singer Chuck Wicks, this season, now says she in no way meant to imply that she was leaving the show for good.   In an exclusive statement to PEOPLE, Hough said: “I am appreciative to be taking this coming season of Dancing with the Stars off to focus on my other career paths like touring in support of my album and recording my next one. I look forward to returning to DWTS in early 2010.”  Good for her, I have always said, Dance with the one that brought you…Literally.

When Ghost Whisperer star Jamie Kennedy performed his standup act over the weekend at Comix comedy club in New York City, he got some over-the-top help from girlfriend and co-star Jennifer Love Hewitt. She posed for pictures with fans – and worked the merchandise table selling Kennedy’s T-shirts and DVDs.  PEOPLE caught up with Kennedy after his set, and it’s clear the comedian is completely smitten. “I’m really lucky because I get to play all over the United States and my girlfriend comes,” he says. “She’s so amazing, just the most supportive person I’ve ever been with.” In March, Kennedy admitted the two were dating.  Oh wow, how the mighty have fallen.

And finally, get ready to add a guilty pleasure to your summer reading list., Lauren Conrad’s highly anticipated debut novel, L.A. Candy, has released a sneak peak to the magazine Teen Vogue.     In her new book, the heroine of her story is 19-year-old Jane Roberts, who moves to Hollywood and ends up the star of her own reality show. Sound familiar? Art imitates life for The Hills star’s story but she says it’s all fictional. “Some of the characters may symbolize people in my life,” Conrad said, “but it is in no way calling anyone out.”   Just like her real life, Conrad’s Jane deals with the drama of relationships with a guy named Paolo.   Oh Wow, I got me some summer dock reading all lined up.
