Images of what appear to be Rihanna naked were posted on the internet over the weekend, and Rihanna’s people have responded to the scandal.  Rihanna’s camp is firing off the first response to nude pictures, allegedly of Rihanna.  TMZ has learned the legal department at Island Def Jam Music Group, RiRi’s label, sent a letter to at least one website that published the photos. The letter refers to “unauthorized photos purported to be…Rihanna,” demands that the photos be removed from the site, and calls the photos a violation of “the Artist’s rights.”  It’s not clear whether Rihanna really is the woman in the buff because you can’t see her face in the nude shots. She is clearly pictured in two fully clothed pics.  Interestingly, the letter from Island Def Jam does not deny (or confirm) if it’s really Rihanna.  Hum, would the photos look something like this?

Singer Ryan Star says American Idol star David Cook is doing his best at their U.S. tour performances in the wake of his brother’s death.  Star, who has been touring with the winner of the seventh season of Idol since Feb. 14, said Cook has had a difficult time on the road following the death of his brother, Adam, on May 2, People.com reported Saturday.  “It has been a long road for David, and we’ve seen how tough it has been on him,” Star said regarding Adam’s passing due to cancer at the age of 37. “I think he’s doing the best he can.”  The emotional strain on Cook was apparent Friday when the singer suddenly stopped singing a slow song during an Akron, Ohio, performance.  “It’s gonna be tough for me,” People.com quoted Cook as telling his Musica theater audience Friday night. “Hold on. I’m sorry. Do you mind if I sing a different song?”  Hang in there Dave, it only gets easier.

Speaking of naked celebrities, photos of Cassie baring all has leaked online – just hours after the singer hit out at a hacker for topless pictures of her on the Internet.  The R&B beauty was furious after photos of her exposing her breasts hit the web on Wednesday, and she was quick to brand the person who stole the snaps “foul and evil” in a post on her Twitter.com page.   She later posted a statement on her official website on Thursday that read: “The recent personal pictures that have been leaked on the internet of me were hacked and stolen out of my computer.   “These photos were obviously never intended for the world to see and it’s sad that people would really take time to steal and post them. At the end of the day breasts are breasts, mine weren’t the first you’ve seen and they won’t be the last… people need to grow up, let’s move on.”   But the “Me & U” hit maker is set for further embarrassment – a graphic photo of her lying naked on a bed with her legs spread hit the web just hours after she released her statement.  I wonder if these pics would look something like this?

In the upcoming summer film, Away We Go, Maya Rudolph’s character is pregnant. Well, off-screen, the actress is pregnant too!   The Saturday Night Live star, 36, is expecting her second child with her partner, director Paul Thomas Anderson, she reveals in an interview slated to air Monday on ET Canada.   “I wasn’t planning on sharing it, but yes I am pregnant!” she tells the show. In a nod to the irony of playing pregnant, followed by actually being pregnant, she says, “I know it’s really weird timing.”  Already mom to daughter Pearl, 3, Rudolph says her current pregnancy is “totally different” than her first one. “The first time you are like wide-eyed: ‘What are we doing?, Who’s coming?, How do we take care of them?’ But this time, I’m like I have to sit down, I’m pregnant.’ “   Good for her, she always cracked me up on SNL.  I just don’t hope they name this one Ruby or Diamond.

The competition isn’t over but American Idol’s Randy Jackson is already predicting a winner.   “Adam Lambert is definitely the lead winner if we had to choose today. He’s got the vocal chops, he’s a good-looking guy like myself, and he’s got that star potential,” Jackson said of the “fearless” performer. “I think it’s going to come down to him and Danny Gokey in the finale.”  Jackson, who served as the official ambassador for Amtrak’s National Train Day in Washington D.C. on Saturday, didn’t stop there with his predictions, telling PEOPLE he expects judge Kara DioGuardi to return to the judges’ panel next year: “I think everybody will be back. I think you will see the returning cast.”  Damn it Randy, where the hell is Chris Allen in your prediction.

Kim Kardashian is keeping marriage thoughts close, but not too close. “So many people rush into it and it’s all this pressure because they see we’ve been together for a while,” the reality star, who has been dating Reggie Bush since 2007, told PEOPLE at this weekend’s Race to Erase MS gala in Los Angeles. “But, we’re heading there. When we’re ready, we’ll know.”   So “heading there” means it’s a strong possibility?   “Definitely,” Kardashian, 28, said two days earlier at The Pink Agenda Toasts Mother’s Day event in L.A. “I mean I think that it’s in our future. We’ve been together two years but we are taking our time and I think hopefully this one will last because of that. We’re just totally dating and normal and happy and there’s no rush.”   Oh that adorable couple, the Bush and the Tush.

Talk about your slow learners.   It’s been 17 years in the making, but Jimmy Fallon finally received his bachelor’s degree in communications from the College of Saint Rose in Albany, N.Y., Saturday. The NBC Late Night host, 34, was one of 1,800 students who donned a cap and gown and marched to the Pomp and Circumstance at the university’s commencement ceremony at the Saratoga Performing Arts Center.   In addition to picking up his communications degree, the funnyman served as the keynote speaker and spoke to his fellow graduates.   “There’s always going to be someone out there like that movie critic, who doesn’t believe in you or who thinks your head is too big or you’re not smart enough,” Fallon told the graduates. “But those are the people you need to ignore, and those are the times you need to just keep doing what you love doing.”   Good for him, now if only they would give an honorary degree to Miss Britney Spears, than I am a happy camper.

And finally, Spider-Man star Tobey Maguire and his wife, Jennifer Meyer, welcomed their second child Friday, the actor’s rep tells PEOPLE.   “I can confirm the Maguire’s had a baby boy today, and the family is healthy and happy,” says rep Kelly Bush.   Maguire, 33, and Meyer, 31, are also parents to daughter Ruby, who is 2 1/2. The couple met in 2003 and married in 2007.  Good for them.  Wait, I guess Maya Rudolph has her Ruby to go with her Pearl.

Police have launched an investigation after 24 star Kiefer Sutherland was accused of headbutting a fashion designer at a swanky New York party on Tuesday night.  The actor reportedly flew into a rage with Proenza Schouler designer Jack McCollough after he knocked into actress Brooke Shields at the Met Costume Institute Gala.   Sutherland is said to have confronted the catwalk mogul and told him to apologize to the star. He is then alleged to have headbutted McCollough in the face, injuring his nose, according to TMZ.com.   The website reports that a police report was taken and the incident is under investigation.  Oh that Jack Bauer, always a troublemaker.

American Idol judge Paula Abdul says she sought treatment for an addiction to painkillers last year.  In an interview to appear in the June issue of Ladies’ Home Journal, Abdul discussed how she checked herself into the La Costa Resort and Spa in Carlsbad, California, last fall to wean herself off her medications. She also said the medication was why she may have seemed disoriented while on the air from time to time.  “I could have killed myself,” the magazine quoted her as saying about going through withdrawal. “Withdrawal — it’s the worst thing. I was freezing cold, then sweating hot, then chattering and in so much pain, it was excruciating. But at my very core, I did not like existing the way I had been.”  The dancer and singer said the problem stemmed from her determination to keep working despite chronic debilitating pain caused by a series of accidents. She said she took painkillers so she could keep to her intense schedule.  “I didn’t want anyone to count me out,” she said.  Oh that Paula, anything for attention.

Pop Star, Christina Aguleria has signed on to play a burlesque dancer in her first big screen film.  The singer will play the lead role in Burlesque, a musical about a small-town girl who lands a job dancing in a strip club while seeking fame and fortune in Los Angeles.  The project will be directed by actor/filmmaker Steve Antin, brother of choreographer Robin Antin, who founded the burlesque troupe-turned-girl band Pussycat Dolls.  Burlesque will begin shooting later this year, reports Variety.com.  Oh that Christina Aguleria, always finding the perfect project.

Reality star Jon Gosselin admits he’s going through a tough time at home right now, but he wants fans to know he’s been faithful to his wife.   Last week, Gosselin was photographed leaving a bar in Reading, Penn., with a woman named Deanna Hummel. Hummel later came forward to say that she and Gosselin are just friends – but her brother, Jason Hummel, claims Deanna and Gosselin, a married man with eight kids at home, have been having an affair for three months.   “These allegations are false and just plain hurtful,” Gosselin says in a statement exclusively to PEOPLE. “As I adjust to the attention that comes from being in the public eye, I need to be more careful and aware of who I am associating with and where I am spending my time. But the bottom line is, I did not cheat on Kate. I am sorry for putting my family in this awkward position, given some poor decisions and bad judgments I’ve made recently.” If I had 8 kids, I would think of straying as well.  That’s all I am trying to say.

Ryan Reynolds  will soon have the entire screen to himself to show off giant arms.  His wise-cracking Deadpool character from the box-office powerhouse X-Men Origins: Wolverine is being developed by 20th Century Fox and Marvel Comic for a spin-off star vehicle, trade papers report.   Deadpool, actually mercenary Wade Wilson, will overcome the setback suffered in Wolverine and regain the ability to shoot off his mouth, according to the Hollywood Reporter.   Currently costarring in Adventureland, Reynolds, 32, will next be seen opposite Sandra Bullock in the romantic comedy The Proposal, opening June 19.   Um, aren’t there enough stupid superhero movies out yet?

When Kirstie Alley stepped on the scale for the first time in 15 months, it wasn’t pretty. “I started screaming,” recalls Alley, sipping homemade fruit-infused water in her Hollywood kitchen. “It said 228 lbs., which is my highest weight ever. I was so much more disgusting than I thought!”   But looking back, Alley, 58, is hardly shocked. During her three-year stint as a Jenny Craig spokeswoman, she famously trimmed down to 145 lbs. after losing and keeping off 75 lbs. But since parting ways with the company in 2007, she had not worked out and banished her gym equipment to the garage. As for her diet, her small, low-calorie portions gave way to Chinese takeout and pasta drenched with butter. “I fell off the horse,” says the 5′8″ star.  Um am I the only one chuckling under their breath at that situation?

Lilith is off the market. Bebe Neuwirth, best known as the uptight ex-wife of TV’s Frasier Crane on Cheers and Frasier, married Chris Calkins, founder of Napa Valley’s Destino vineyard.   Neuwirth, 50, and Calkins swapped “I do’s” in front of roughly 80 guests at the Players Club in Manhattan’s Gramercy Park, with pal Peter Coyote presiding over the Buddhist/Christian ceremony, her rep confirms to PEOPLE. The newlyweds are now on their honeymoon.   Neuwirth was married once before, in 1984, to Paul Dorman, a union that ultimately ended in divorce. This marriage was first reported by the The New York Post.  Oh that Lilith.

Alright, 2 more stories to go.  Dom DeLuise, the comedian who became a household name in the ’70s and ’80s for his small but memorable roles in Blazing Saddles, Cannonball Run and Spaceballs, died late Monday night in a Los Angeles hospital. He was 75.   “It’s easy to mourn to his death, but easier to remember a time when he made you laugh,” his family said in a statement.   The Brooklyn-born DeLuise got his big break in 1964 as a as a regular performer on TV’s The Entertainers. He soon became a regular guest star on The Dean Martin Summer Show. The exposure led to Deluise’s landing his own eponymous comedy program on CBS that lasted for a season.  I think I just saw him at a convention charging people 10 bucks for a signed picture.

And finally, The White Stripes drummer Meg White is engaged to guitarist Jackson Smith, the son of iconic rockers Patti Smith and Fred Smith, White’s rep tells PEOPLE.   “I can confirm Meg and Jackson will be married some time this year,” says the rep.   This will be White’s second marriage. The musician was previously married to her White Stripes bandmate Jack White back in 1996. They divorced in 2000. Jack White married Karen Ellison in 2005. The couple have two children.   The White Stripes are currently on hiatus while Jack concentrates on the June release of his latest record with new band Dead Weather.   Wow, married from Jack to Jackson.

Twilight and Slumdog Millionaire led the field in the 2009 MTV Movie Award nominations announced Monday in New York.  The prizes will be presented May 31 during a live telecast. Comedian Andy Samberg will serve as host of the event at the Gibson Amphitheater in Universal City, Calif.  Both Twilight and Slumdog are in the running for the awards for best movie, best kiss and breakthrough male performance — Robert Pattinson and Taylor Lautner for Twilight, and Dev Patel for Slumdog.  Twilight also earned mentions for Kristen Stewart for best female performance, and for her co-stars, Pattinson and Cam Gigandet, for best fight.  Slumdog leading lady Frieda Pinto was nominated for breakthrough female performance, and “Jai Ho,” a track from her film is up for the best song in a movie prize.  Sounds like a pretty cruddy list of nominated movies.

Former basketball star Dennis Rodman has reportedly agreed to undergo rehab in his long-running battle against alcohol addiction.  The athlete-turned-reality-TV-star will receive treatment and counseling at an outpatient facility.   Friends and family had urged him to check in to the clinic for round-the-clock care – but Rodman refused because he wants to attend a reunion party with his fellow Celebrity Apprentice contestants on Sunday.   A spokesman for the star said Rodman decided to take action after pals, including his former Los Angeles Lakers coach Phil Jackson, convinced him to seek help.   The rep tells EOnline, “We all know how amazing he is when sober and we hope he gets there soon… He will be in New York City for the Celebrity Apprentice finale next Sunday.”  Well maybe him in a wedding dress will be a hit in the jail.

X-Men Origins: Wolverine was a smash hit in its opening weekend in U.S. theaters, Box Office Mojo said Sunday.  The science fiction action movie, starring Hugh Jackman, pulled in an estimated $87 million in its initial weekend.  Another new movie, Ghosts of Girlfriends Past, a romantic comedy starring Matthew McConaughey, Jennifer Garner and Michael Douglas, was a distance No. 2 with an estimated $15.33 million in gate receipts.  Last weekend’s top movie, Obsessed, fell to No. 3 at $12.2 million, followed by 17 Again at No. 4 with $6.36 million and Monsters Vs. Aliens at No. 5 with $5.8 million.  Rounding out the Top 10 were The Soloist at $5.6 million, Earth at $4.18 million, Fighting at $4.17 million, Hannah Montana The Movie at $4.08 million and State of Play at $3.66 million.  Falling out of the top tier were Fast and Furious and Crank: High Voltage.  Summer movie season has begun kiddies.

David Hasselhoff was drunk over the weekend, but didn’t suffer severe alcohol poisoning as has been reported, sources told TMZ.  Hasselhoff, 56, is best known for his roles on the iconic action-adventure shows Knight Rider and Baywatch. He is now a judge on America’s Got Talent. He reportedly has had a drinking problem for many years.  RadarOnline.com said Hasselhoff was taken to Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles Saturday after his 16-year-old daughter found him unconscious on the floor of his home in Encino, Calif.  Hasselhoff was taken to the hospital and registered a blood-alcohol content of .39, RadarOnline.com said. The Web site also cited unnamed sources as saying this was the 10th time Hasselhoff has been treated for alcohol poisoning in recent years.  However, the TV personality’s lawyer, Mel Goldsman, told TMZ the Internet report came from Hasselhoff’s former wife, Pamela Bach, and is “in violation of the court’s order precluding contacting the media regarding her ex-husband.”  Hasselhoff’s publicist Judy Katz told the celebrity news Web site Sunday: “He is fine and well and happy and is celebrating his father Joe Hasselhoff’s 80th birthday tonight at dinner… along with his girlfriend, Kimberly.”  Hi, I do love drunk celebrities.

Maggie Gyllenhaal’s publicist says the actress has married her longtime beau Peter Sarsgaard in Italy.  “We are happy to confirm that Maggie and Peter were married on Saturday,” Gyllenhaal’s representative told Usmagazine.com.  The couple lives in New York with their 2-year-old daughter, Ramona.  The entertainment news Web site said the couple wed at a small chapel at the posh Masseria hotel in Brindisi, near Rome. Among the guests were the bride’s actor brother, Jake Gyllenhaal and his girlfriend, actress Reese Witherspoon.  Maggie Gyllenhaal’s screen credits include Donnie Darko, Secretary, World Trade Center and The Dark Knight.  Sarsgaard has starred in Shattered Glass, Jarhead, Kinsey and The Skeleton Key.  Nothing like living in sin, and doing it before marriage.

Season 7 American Idol winner David Cook says his older brother Adam has died of cancer. He was 36.  “I actually lost my brother yesterday to a brain tumor, and I couldn’t imagine being anywhere else right now,” Cook told a crowd at Sunday’s 12th annual Race for Hope 5K event in Washington, D.C.  The elder Cook, a married attorney with children, died in Terre Haute, Ind., after battling brain cancer for 11 years,  Usmagazine.com said.  The disease reportedly had also spread to his spine.  Cook was the honorary chairman of the Race for Hope 5K and his team raised more than $97,000 for the cause, his representative told the magazine.   No funny comments on this story.

U.S. rock star Pink denies she told a British tabloid she is bisexual.  The singer is currently on tour in London.  “I just read that I’m bisexual — so 1991. Good thing people write articles about me so I can get my facts straight,” Usmagazine.com quoted her as saying in a weekend Twitter posting.  I know, I have used this joke before, but I heard the loves the Pink Taco.

Eminem latest effort, Relapse, is slated to hit stores May 19, and the rapper told the latest issue of Vibe magazine that it’s his first sober project in 7 years.  He’s been sober for a year now, and the album, he says, is a statement to the world that he’s back. He writes in the magazine about his newfound motivation, “I almost feel like a little kid again with rap. I wanna play around with different flows. If I don’t feel like it’s what I’m fully capable of, if there’s one weak line, I wanna change it. Rap was my drug. It used to get me high and then it stopped getting me high. Then I had to resort to other things to make me feel that. Now rap’s getting me high again.”  Before he made the decision to get sober, Eminem struggled with drug addiction that almost took a fatal turn.  After getting some mysterious pills from an “acquaintance,” he admits that he almost took what could have been a life-ending overdose.  “My doctor told me those mysterious new pills were methadone, which is used to wean heroin addicts off dope,” he told the magazine’s June/July issue.  “Had I known it was methadone, I probably wouldn’t have taken it. But as bad as I was back then, I can’t even say 100 percent for sure. My doctor told me the amount of methadone I’d taken was equivalent to shooting up four bags of heroin. Even when they told me I almost died, it didn’t click.”   Wow, talk about issues.  Damn Marshall, that’s hardcore.

And finally, Nick Cannon brought wifey Mariah Carrey to tears on Thursday when he surprised her with a video compilation of their most intimate moments to mark their first wedding anniversary.  The happy couple celebrated their union with the crowd at Moon Nightclub in Las Vegas, where Cannon was playing a DJ set.   But the rapper/actor had a romantic treat in store for the “Hero” hitmaker that brought tears to her eyes.   He told the club-goers, “It’s a very special occasion… Toast to everyone,” before unveiling the montage and paying tribute to Carey: “This is the most amazing person in the world. I dedicate my life to her daily, and together this union is gonna last forever. She is my rock.”   The singer was equally complimentary about Cannon, replying, “I have the best man in the whole wide world.”   Club bosses treated the couple to a four-foot-high anniversary cake and a balloon drop as they toasted their marriage, reports People.com.   The stars wed in a secret ceremony in the Bahamas last year .  Yeah I guess, I am out twenty bucks.  I thought they would be divorced by them, and actually bet against them.
