Reality television star Kendra Wilkinson was married during the weekend in a ceremony at the Playboy Mansion in Los Angeles, a bridesmaid says.  Bridesmaid Holly Madison told People Magazine that Wilkinson and Hank Baskett were married Saturday at sunset before an altar decorated with white flowers in a ceremony attended by 300 guests, including Playboy Magazine founder Hugh Hefner.   Wilkinson, whose life as one of Hefner’s girlfriends was chronicled in the reality television series “The Girls Next Door” on E! Television, wore a white dress with a “tight bodice and poofy skirt,” said Madison, a “Girls Next Door” co-star.   ”She looked like a princess,” Madison told People. “It was a beautiful setting for a wedding. It was a princess dress, which was fitting. It was really pretty and she looked gorgeous.”   Wilkinson and Baskett reportedly danced the first dance to George Strait’s “I Cross My Heart,” while the bride’s second dance was saved for Hefner.   Ahhh, that is kind of cute.  That is a really good choice of first dance songs.

 

 

 

 

Teen actress Abigail Breslin’s income has gone up from her estimated $2 million per movie – her parents have increased her allowance by $1 per week.  The ‘My Sister’s Keeper’ star, who’s been acting since age five, ranked eighth in Forbes magazine’s Young Hollywood’s Top-Earning Stars list in 2007 after pulling in $1.5 million in 2006. And now the Oscar-nominated actress is earning her pay by working just as hard around the house as she does on the set.  She tells People.com, “I get $13 (a week) now, because I’m 13. My chores have gotten a little heavier. My brother used to always feed the cat and now I feed the cat, which isn’t a big deal, but it kind of is, because my cat eats tons. It’s like an all-day long cycle.”  Wait, that is not right.  Can’t she hire a maid to do that stuff for her?

 

 

 

 

Pitchman extraordinaire Billy Mays died from a pulmonary embolism, according to the coroner in Tampa, Fla., who announced preliminary autopsy results at a press conference Monday.  Evidence of heart disease was also found.   According to Hillsborough County Medical Examiner Vernard Adams, Mays “had an enlarged heart, a thickening of the wall of the ventricle which takes blood to the heart.” Final results of the autopsy and cause of death will not be known for several weeks.  Mays, 50, the bearded man with the booming voice best known for his ubiquitous OxiClean ads died in his sleep in his Florida home over the weekend.   On Saturday, Mays was aboard a U.S. Airways flight that had a rough landing in Tampa. Mays told a TV crew that he bumped his head in the landing, fueling speculation that a possible injury could have lead to his untimely death. But the coroner says there was no evidence of head trauma. Internal and external injuries also did not exist.  See it is reasons like this that I don’t like to fly.

 

 

 

 

Guitar virtuoso Eddie Van Halen is no longer a solo: Saturday night he married Janie Liszewski, his girlfriend of three years.   The ceremony took place in the garden of his seven-acre estate in the hills above Studio City, Calif., starting at 7 p.m., when Liszewski walked down the aisle to Van Halen’s “When It’s Love,” performed by the Sonus Quartet.   The 54-year-old groom’s 18-year-old son, Wolfgang, served as best man, while brother Alex Van Halen, an ordained minister, officiated at the 20-minute, nondenominational service. Among the 100 guests: Van Halen’s ex-wife, Valerie Bertinelli (they divorced in 2006, after 25 years of marriage.)  The bride, 39, was given away by her mother under the watchful eye of Kano, the 15-year-old Pomeranian who walked Liszewski down the aisle. This was her first marriage and Van Halen’s second.  Good for him.  He is doing the divorce thing the right way, keeping it real with his ex.

 

 

 

 

After just five days, “Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen” is halfway to $400 million domestically, a box-office milestone only eight other movies have reached. If it climbs that high, the “Transformers” sequel would be by far the worst-reviewed movie ever to make the $400 million club.   Critics and mainstream crowds often disagree, but “Revenge of the Fallen” sets a new standard for the gulf between what reviewers and mass audiences like.   The movie pulled in $201.2 million since opening Wednesday, the second-best result for a movie in its first five days, just behind “The Dark Knight” with $203.8 million. Even after its whopping $60.6 million opening day, “Revenge of the Fallen” was packing theatres, a sign that unlike critics, who mostly hated the movie, audiences felt they were getting their money’s worth and were giving the flick good word of mouth.   See, even if it gets hideous reviews, blockbusters still can make 200 plus million.

 

 

 

 

Transformers star Josh Duhamel has no regrets about posing nude for a series of photographs early on in his career, insisting the saucy snaps are “funny”.  The actor stripped off for the images in 2000, and the photos of Fergie’s actor husband completely naked have since surfaced online.  But Duhamel is laughing off the controversy – because it’s all in the past.  He tells Men’s Health magazine, “To me, it’s funny at this point. Whatever. It’s done.”  And he’s poking fun at the snaps by joking about the size of his manhood, adding, “It was very cold in the studio, by the way!”  Oh, he is comfortable with his body and he is laughing it off.  Gotcha.

 

 

 

 

And finally, Gwen Stefani has dismissed rumors No Doubt’s reunion has been marred by tension between band mates, insisting they’ve overcome that “air bubble”.   The band recently embarked on a new tour, ending a five-year hiatus, during which Stefani released two platinum-selling solo albums, worked on her clothing line L.A.M.B. and welcomed two children – Kingston, three, and Zuma, 10 months – with husband Gavin Rossdale.   Reports suggested Stefani struggled to fit back into the band, but she insists any tension has disappeared since a “heated conversation” with bassist and ex-boyfriend Tony Kanal over the band’s cover of Adam and the Ants’ Stand and Deliver.   She tells America’s Elle magazine, “Everybody’s making it like there’s all this tension, you know, like I stepped away from the band and now they’re jealous of me, and look, maybe there is a little bit of that… but some fights aren’t really what they seem. I think it was a little about the song, and a little about our coming back together. There was this air bubble that needed to pop, you know?”   Yeah, there is no tension there.  They are besties from way back.

Representatives for Nick Lachey and Vanessa Minnillo say the celebrity couple has broken up after about three years of dating.  Recording artist Lachey was previously married to singer/actress Jessica Simpson.   Lachey and Simpson starred in a popular reality television show called Newlyweds: Nick & Jessica.  Minnillo is a former MTV host.  “They have amicably split but remain good friends who still greatly care for one another.   Minnillo’s publicist told People magazine.  Another source agreed the exes remain friends.  “It was the right thing for both of them to do,” the insider told the publication.  Well I have to say 3 years is about 2 and a half years longer than I gave them.

 

 

 

 

Megan Fox is the undisputed queen of Hollywood beauties – she has topped a poll of the sexiest women in the world for the second year in a row.  The Transformers star beat Jessica Alba and Scarlett Johansson in FHM’s 100 Sexiest Women in the World 2009 survey.   Fox, who came second behind British girl group member Cheryl Cole in the U.K. version of the publication, is only the second celebrity female to retain the title – after Jennifer Lopez was crowned in both 2001 and 2002.   Justin Timberlake’s girlfriend Jessica Biel and actress Madeline Zima rounded out the top five, while newcomers to the top ten include Adriana Lima, Anne Hathaway and pop star Katy Perry.   Britney Spears enjoyed the biggest leap in popularity – she was 100th in the list in 2008 but reached number 12 in this year’s magazine.  You know, I really don’t know what the entire hullabaloo about Megan Fox is.  She is not that hot.

 

 

 

 

The surrogate employed by Sarah Jessica Parker and Matthew Broderick has given birth to the celebrity couple’s twin daughters.  E! News said the babies were born Monday at East Ohio Regional Hospital in Martins Ferry, Ohio.  “Sarah Jessica Parker and Matthew Broderick are delighted to announce the healthy arrival of their two daughters at 3:58 p.m. the couple’s representatives said in a statement issued Tuesday.”Marion Loretta Elwell Broderick weighed 5 pounds, 11 ounces, and Tabitha Hodge Broderick weighed 6 pounds. Both Hodge and Elwell are family names on Parker’s side. The babies are doing beautifully and the entire family is over the moon.”  The New York-based couple, who are also the parents of 6-year-old James, reportedly are with the surrogate.  So why do you think they went the surrogate route?  He is a little ring-a-ding-ding?  Or her and her giant beak?

 

 

 

 

Nick Cannon is hoping to make his stint hosting America’s Got Talent a family affair – by persuading his wife Mariah Carey to perform on the hit show.  The rapper/actor is set to add TV host to his resume as he takes over from Jerry Springer on the new season, which kicked off earlier this week.   And Cannon insists viewers could get a superstar thrown in with the wannabe acts – hinting his superstar partner may take to the stage as she’s a huge fan of the series. He tells MTV, “They keep asking me that – I don’t know. It’s a possibility. She loves the show.   ”She has a hot new album coming out. It’s the hottest show on TV so why wouldn’t that work out? So hopefully the timing works out and she does get to come represent.”  Is this what Mariah’s career really resorted to?  Appearing on level 3 talent shows?

 

 

 

 

It’s a series with emotional landmines as potent as tarantula cocktails and crocodile-filled obstacle courses. And on Wednesday, NBC’s I’m a Celebrity … Get Me Out of Here! ends its three-week run when one star will be crowned the ultimate King, or Queen, of the Jungle.  Challenges notwithstanding, the celebrity survivor will also have to stomach the return of former contestants Heidi Montag and Spencer Pratt, who landed in Costa Rica on Tuesday, as well as Janice Dickinson and Daniel Baldwin, who are also set to return to the jungle.   Watching it all go down in fancy high heels has been co-host Myleene Klass, herself a runner-up of Britain’s I’m a Celebrity… in 2006. “Where else are you going to see celebrities without their makeup, without their support network, without luxuries, just showing us who they really are?”   Hum I think the doodie is going to hit the fan when Speidi comes back to the jungle.

 

 

 

 

And finally, some sad news to report. He was TV’s most famous second banana, sitting alongside Johnny Carson during what was arguably the golden age of NBC’s Tonight Show, from 1962 to 1992, welcoming a nightly national audience with his opening cry of “Heeeeeeeeeeeere’s Johnny.”   But now that voice is stilled. NBC News announced Tuesday morning that Ed McMahon, 86, had died after a battle with cancer. He had been in the hospital with pneumonia back in January.   Oh man, I remember staying up late at night growing up watching The Tonight Show.

Matthew McConaughey and girlfriend Camila Alves are expecting their second child together. The actor made the announcement on his Web site Sunday.  “Happy Father’s Day. It’s my first, and the last 11 months with Levi and Camila have been the most rewarding adventure to date. We have more blessed news to celebrate this Father’s Day that [will] make this time next year double the fun. Levi is going to be a big brother… Yeah, we pulled off the greatest miracle in the world one more time, Camila and I are expecting our second child, bringing more life into the world, making more to live for. The future looks bright as the family grows…. just keep livin, Matthew and Camila.”  McConaughey and Alves already have a son, Levi, together.  Ah, what a great father’s day gift.

 

 

 

 

Ryan O’Neal said in an exclusive interview with Barbara Walters for ABC’s 20/20 that he and his longtime girlfriend Farrah Fawcett plan to wed.  Fawcett, 62, has been battling cancer for more than two years and reportedly is now bed-ridden.  She and O’Neal started dating in 1980 and have one son together.  “I’ve asked her to marry me, again, and she’s agreed,” O’Neal told Walters in an interview set to air Friday night.  “We will, as soon as she can say ‘yes.’ … Maybe we can just nod her head,” he added with a laugh. “I used to ask her to marry me all the time. … But … it just got to be a joke, you know. We just joked about it.”  O’Neal, 68, assured Walters this time the plans are for real.  “I promise you, we will,” he said. “Absolutely.”  Ah, that is actually really cute.

 

 

 

 

Rachel Griffiths’ publicist confirmed to People magazine the Australian actress has given birth to a daughter.  Griffiths and her artist husband Andrew Taylor were already the parents of a 3-year-old daughter, Adelaide Rose, and a 5-year-old son named Banjo Patrick.  The actress is a cast member of the television drama “Brothers & Sisters.” She has also co-starred on TV’s “Six Feet Under” and in the films “Muriel’s Wedding” and “Blow Dry.”  People.com did not say when or where Griffiths’ third child was born, or what her name is.   Hey, what’s the big deal with all the secrets?  You are a celebrity, and we as celebrity gossip lovers need that information.

 

 

 

 

Mercy James Ciccone, the little girl Madonna adopted from Malawi, is set to accompany the pop star when she goes back on tour this summer, sources said.  The Mirror reported the child will leave London for New York with the singer later this week, and then return to England in July when Madonna resumes her “Sticky and Sweet” concert tour.  Mercy, who has been variously reported as 3 or 4 years old, is then expected to travel to Italy, Germany, Sweden, Hungary and Israel where her mother is performing, the newspaper said.  “Madonna is so happy to have all her children around her and for Mercy to be finally with them,” a source close to the recording artist told The Mirror. “It’s been a long, difficult process to go through and she’s faced quite a bit of negativity along the way for her decisions. But she said, ‘My family is finally complete, we’re all together at last.’ It was a beautiful moment. She is over the moon that Mercy is with her.”  Nothing like celebrities buying babies.

 

 

 

 

Judy Reyes, who stars as the sassy nurse Carla on TV’s Scrubs, is expecting her first child with her boyfriend, director George Valencia, her rep tells PEOPLE exclusively.   The Alma Award-winning Reyes, 41, who appeared on HBO’s Oz, recently starred in the Lifetime movie Little Girl Lost: The Delimar Vera Story. She also appeared in Glow Ropes: The Rise and Fall of a Bar Mitzvah Emcee, a Los Angeles Latino Film Festival award winner written and co-directed by Valencia.  Wow, she is old…I would have pegged her to be like 32.

 

 

 

 

Actor Bradley Whitford and wife Jane Kaczmarek filed divorce papers Friday in Los Angeles, PEOPLE has confirmed.   “He hopes the media will respect their wish for privacy as they focus on their children,” says a rep for Whitford.   The former West Wing star and Malcolm in the Middle mom were married in August 1992, and have three children, Frances Genevieve, 12, George Edward, 9, and Mary Louisa, 6.  Well, almost 17 years really is a lifetime in Hollywood terms.

 

 

 

 

Movie audiences accepted a proposal from Sandra Bullock and Ryan Reynolds, who scored the summer’s first big romantic comedy hit.   Bullock and Reynolds’ “The Proposal” took in US$34.1 million to open as the weekend’s No. 1 movie, according to studio estimates Sunday. The Disney flick delivered the biggest opening ever for Bullock, nearly double that of her previous best of $17.6 million for the 2007 paranormal thriller “Premonition.”   Bullock stars as a ruthless publishing executive who coerces her put-upon assistant into a fake marriage so she can avoid deportation back to her native Canada.  Eh, I really have no desire to see it.  I am still all about The Hangover.

 

 

 

 

And finally, only moments before Chris Brown explosive preliminary hearing was set to begin Monday afternoon in Los Angeles, a deal has been struck in the case, thereby avoiding the dramatic confrontation between Brown and his ex-girlfriend Rihanna who was expected to testify against him in court today.  As part of the deal, Brown will spend 180 days community service.  He gets 5 years probation for assault.  That SOB got away with performing that to Riri?  Shady.
