NBC says it has partnered with popular health and wellness expert Jillian Michaels for a new program called “Losing It With Jillian.” Also collaborating on the alternative series are Giancarlo Chersich from Empowered Media, as well as “The Biggest Loser” producers Mark Koops and Howard T. Owens of Reveille, and former “The Oprah Winfrey” executive producer Ellen Rakieten. ”In the series, Michaels invades a different family every week to give them her own characteristic brand of tough love,” NBC said in a news release. “She will get to the bottom of the issues each family member faces — ones that affect their health and happiness — and will arm them with the tools necessary to make life-altering changes.” The series will also feature celebrity chef Curtis Stone, who will rid the family’s kitchen of all unhealthy foods and educate them on proper nutrition, healthy ingredients, cooking tips and recipes, the network said. The announcement was made Tuesday by Paul Telegdy, executive vice president of alternative programming for NBC and Universal Media Studios. ”Jillian is the world’s leading lifestyle expert with a signature style all her own,” Telegdy said in a statement. “Increasing numbers of families seem to need a motivational boost, and we know that Jillian is an awesome force of nature who will help them transform their lives from the inside out.” I mean well anyone can lose weight when all your meals are made for you, you have a personal trainer and you don’t have to punch a clock.

At least last season’s Big Brother winner, Adam Jasinski, is used to being locked in a big house and under constant surveillance. Because it looks like there’s a good chance he’ll be spending a lot of time in a similar place in the future. Jasinski, 31, was arrested Saturday for using his $500,000 in prize winnings to buy thousands of pills of the controlled painkiller Oxycodone, which he then attempted to resell, authorities said. The Del Ray, Fla., resident reportedly confessed after trying to sell 2,000 of the pills to an undercover cop in Massachusetts. Good job doing a background test CBS. Shady.

And finally, Wilmer Valderrama is going to the dogs. The former star of That ’70s Show will star in a half-hour sitcom based on the escapades of Dog Whisperer Cesar Millan now being developed for FOX, reports Variety. Cesar’s Way author Millan, who has re-trained some of the worst-behaved dogs ever to appear onscreen, has been involved in many, er, hairy adventures that will presumably be fodder for the new show. Good job making smart career choices Fez.
