David Letterman’s spokesman has denied a report claiming the television star’s wife has left him in the wake of his recent sex scandal and extortion case.   ”The National Enquirer has it wrong,” Letterman’s representative Tom Keaney told the New York Daily News.   Letterman admitted on the “Late Show with David Letterman” last month that he has had sexual affairs with female employees of the show. The on-air revelation came after he testified before a grand jury that a man threatened to release the information to the public if Letterman did not pay him $2 million. A CBS News producer, Robert Halderman, was arrested and charged in the alleged extortion plot. He pleaded innocent and was released on bail.   Letterman has publicly apologized to both his staff and wife, Regina Lasko, whom he married last March after dating her for 20 years. The couple has a 6-year-old son together.   Good, I know they will work their way through this mess.

Janet Jackson holds Michael Jackson’s personal doctor responsible for her brother’s sudden death and has told ABC News that a day does not go by when she doesn’t think about her late sibling.  “He was the one that was administering,” Janet Jackson said about Houston-based physician Dr. Conrad Murray. “I think he is responsible.”   Murray, who was hired to treat Michael Jackson in the months before Jackson died on June 25 of a drug overdose, is currently a target in the manslaughter investigation of the “Thriller” singer’s death.   Since June, Los Angeles County coroner officials have said the powerful anesthetic propofol, which is used in surgery, and the sedative lorazepam, were the primary drugs responsible for Jackson’s death. Police have referred the case to prosecutors to determine if criminal charges should be filed.   Janet Jackson has remained mostly quiet about her brother’s death, but she spoke with ABC television journalist Robin Roberts in an interview set to air Wednesday night on the network’s show “In the Spotlight.”   Wait, I forget, is Janet the stable one?

The mother of DJ AM alleges in a Los Angeles lawsuit against Learjet that her disc jockey son’s overdose death was directly linked to a 2008 crash he survived.   The late disc jockey’s mother, Andrea Gross, added a wrongful death claim to a $20 million lawsuit filed by her son before his August death, People.com reported Friday.   DJ AM, whose real name was Adam Goldstein, was suing Learjet along with other defendants for the September 2008 jet crash in West Columbia, S.C.   The crash resulted in the deaths of four people, including two crew members, and left Goldstein and rocker Travis Barker injured.   According to Los Angeles court records, Gross amended the lawsuit to include allegations the crash caused her 36-year-old son to turn back to drug use until his Aug. 28 death of a drug overdose.   ”The crash ultimately caused Adam Goldstein’s death at a later date,” the court papers state.   People magazine said Learjet has denied any responsibility for the crash.  I really didn’t the drugs make him die?

Adriana Lima now has a little angel of her own: the Victoria’s Secret model and her husband, NBA star Marko Jaric, welcomed a daughter on Sunday in New York City.   “Adriana and Marko are thrilled to announce they had a baby girl, Valentina Lima Jaric,” a rep for Lima tells Yahoo. “Mother, father and baby are all doing well.” Lima, 28, met the Memphis Grizzlies star, 31, in 2006 and got engaged two years later on Lima’s 27th birthday. The couple eloped on Valentine’s Day this year, tying the knot in a small, private civil ceremony in Jackson Hole, Wyoming.  Eh, I am not going to touch that…Tainted Goods.

Well apparently Baby Number 2 isn’t keeping Jenna Elfman from maintaining balance in her life – the balance between food cravings and exercise, that is.   “You know, the main cravings are done with,” the Accidentally on Purpose actress, 37, told PEOPLE at the P.S. Arts “Express Yourself” charity event in Santa Monica, Calif., on Sunday. “Now it’s just eating in general. I like stuffing food down my face.”   But like any good Hollywood celebrity, she keeps in shape.  Well see this is why I am not a celebrity, I have one cupcake, and I can’t stop.

Rosie O’Donnell may have said last month that she was done commenting on breakup rumors dogging her relationship with her partner of five years, Kelli Carpenter, but that changed Friday.   On her Sirius Satellite radio show, O’Donnell suddenly admitted Carpenter had moved out of their home two years ago. The reason for the big reveal? A pressing psychic and a long-haired Chihuahua.   “Where did you get her from Rosie? Because she says she came from somewhere. And she said she’s happier with you,” pet psychic Sonya Fitzpatrick said of O’Donnell’s dog Misty. “She’s so spoiled and she loves to burrow.”  Well if you had to put up with her too on a daily basis, wouldn’t you leave Rosie as well?  She might be worse than Kate Gosselin.

Joey Lawrence and his wife Chandi Yawn-Nelson are expecting their second child, the actor tells MSN exclusively.   Due April 3, the baby will be another girl, joining “very excited” big sister Charleston, 3 ½.   “I am Estrogen Man,” laughs Lawrence. “I’m from a family of all boys, and when I told my best friend Dave that my wife and I were having a second girl, he said, ‘Look at you, my best buddy Estrogen Man!’”   The latest addition to the Lawrence family will be named Liberty Grace, the actor shares. The first name “is something I’ve always loved,” Lawrence, 33, explains, while Grace is in honor of his grandmother, who passed away earlier this year.  All I can say is Whoa.  Who knew?

Stephanie Pratt pleaded not guilty to misdemeanor DUI in a Los Angeles court Friday and will enroll in a 30-day residential rehab facility.   The Hills star, 23, was arrested last month in Hollywood after driving home from Holly Montag’s birthday party.   She recently told EW that the arrest “was the worst thing to happen to me and, at the same time, it was the biggest blessing” as a life lesson.  If convicted, Pratt faces up to six months in jail and a $1,000 fine.  Good job Stephanie, anything to stay in the public eye.

Nicolas Cage’s next film may take place in New Orleans, but the debt-plagued actor can now no longer claim to be a resident of the Big Easy.   Cage, 45 who filed a lawsuit blaming his financial collapse on his longtime business partner, had his two historic French Quarter homes purchased in a foreclosure auction Thursday.   The houses went for $4.5 million – about two-thirds the appraised value – to Cage’s lender, Regions bank, the lone bidder. Movers were seen clearing Cage’s belongings on Friday.  If only his millions on hair care products.

And finally, Harry Potter star Daniel Radcliffe has denied smoking marijuana at a party, after a report appeared in British tabloid the Daily Mirror.   ”We categorically deny the allegations regarding Daniel Radcliffe published in today’s Daily Mirror,” his spokeswoman said in a statement.  “Daniel does smoke the occasional roll-up cigarette, but he was not doing anything more than this. We are considering our position and will be taking all necessary action in relation to such allegations.”  Radcliffe, 20, shot to international fame for playing boy wizard Potter in the movie adaptations of JK Rowling’s hugely successful series of books.  The six films to date have earned billions of dollars at the box office, and filming is under way for the two-part final installment Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows.  Oh that Harry Potter always is getting in to trouble of some sort or another.

Simon Cowell, the acerbic “American Idol” judge, creator of “America’s Got Talent” an record producer, is the top earning man on prime-time U.S. television with an estimated haul of $75 million, Forbes.com said on Tuesday.   Cowell, 50, beat out “The Apprentice” show host Donald Trump ($50 million) and “American Idol” host Ryan Seacrest ($38 million), based on estimated pre-tax earnings from June 1, 2008 to June 1, 2009.   Most of the top earners have several entertainment related ventures, Forbes said. Cowell has his own record label which has signed singers including Leona Lewis and Susan Boyle, in addition to his duties as a judge on “American Idol” — the most watched TV show in the United States for seven years.   Apart from “The Apprentice”, Trump lends his name to products ranging from neckties to vodka and reaps fees from speeches and books.   Wow, he has tons of bucks.

U.S. country singers Julianne Hough and Chuck Wicks have ended their relationship after dating for about a year, a source told People.com.  “This was mutual. They needed some time apart,” the insider said.   The recording artists reportedly met while touring with country star Brad Paisley.   Hough, 21, is also a professional dancer who appeared on several seasons of “Dancing with the Stars.”   Wicks, 30, is a correspondent for TV’s “Entertainment Tonight.”  Wait, so super-hottie Julianne is now single?  Sweet.

Michael Jackson was wearing when entombed in California cost $35,000, court documents show.   The 50-year-old singer’s June 25 death was declared a homicide after lethal levels of the anesthesia propofol were found in his system. The circumstances of his death are still under investigation.   People.com reported Tuesday Jackson’s estate paid the approximately $1 million his Sept. 4 funeral and burial at Glendale’s Forest Lawn Cemetery cost.   In addition to Jackson’s clothing, expenses for the service included the singer’s entombment in the cemetery’s private Grand Mausoleum, which cost $590,000; his metallic casket, which cost $25,000; and security, which cost $175,089.   The estate also bought clothing for his family to wear to the event, as well as cars to transport mourners to and from the service, flowers, invitations and programs, People.com said.   Wow, even at his funeral he was gaudy and over the top.

Carrie Underwood’s “Play On” is No. 1 on the U.S. album chart this week, Billboard.com reported Wednesday.   Coming in at No. 2 on the Billboard 200 is Michael Jackson’s “This Is It” soundtrack, followed by Andrea Bocelli’s “My Christmas” at No. 3, the “Glee” soundtrack at No. 4 and the “Now 32″ compilation CD at No. 5.   Rounding out the top tier are Taylor Swift’s “Fearless” at No. 6, Weezer’s “Raditude” at No. 7, Michael Buble’s “Crazy Love” at No. 8, Sting’s “If on a Winter’s Night” at No. 9 and the “New Moon” soundtrack at No. 10.  Good for her, I mean she is no Kelly Clarkson, but still, good for her.

Celine Dion’s husband says the Canadian pop star is not pregnant with their second child as they initially thought.   He said the 41-year-old singer’s doctor announced she was pregnant via in vitro fertilization early in the process, however, the transfer of embryos in August and October did not result in a successful pregnancy.   ”Dr. Zev Rosenwaks believed that the procedure/pregnancy took, but that wasn’t the case. We found out some days later. We were shocked,” Dion’s 67-year-old husband Rene Angelil told the Canadian newspaper Journal de Montreal.   Angelil said he and his wife plan to keep trying for another child.   I am just amazed that his ween does not get lost in her giant camel toe.

Lindsay Price and Josh Radnor, who began dating in August 2008, have called it quits.  “They aren’t together anymore,” a source tells MSN of the former Lipstick Jungle actress, 32, and the How I Met Your Mother actor, 35. Adds another source, “It was just time.”  The pair met in 2007 when Price appeared on How I Met Your Mother, but they didn’t kick off their courtship for another 18 months. “We met up a year-and-a-half later in New York,” Yeah, his stock is on the rise, and she stars on cancelled shows.

Eight is enough for rock legend Rod Stewart.   Stewart, who has seven children, and wife number 3, Penny Lancaster, 38, are hoping to add one more.   “Yes, we’re trying – we actually tried last night!” Stewart, 64, told the British talk show GMTV. “One more and then we’re going to close the office.”  But there’s still work to do with the ones he’s got already. Stewart, now promoting his latest album of R&B classics called Soulbook, said he is having trouble teaching soccer to his youngest son Allister, who will be 4 later this month.  Two things.  1 – Ewww, and 2 – As long as he does not produce any more demon children like Kimberly Stewart, than it is ok.

And finally, Audrina will not be happy about this!  First Kristin Cavallari dated Audrina’s ex Justin Bobby in what turned into the nasty story line playing out on MTV’s The Hills this season. Now, it’s onto another guy, Tal Cooperman, who Audrina dated last summer.  “It’s brand new. They’re having a lot of fun enjoying getting to know each other better,” says a source of Cavallari’s relationship with the co-owner of the DCMA Collective clothing line. “It’s not for the show. They hit it off and have been hanging out off-camera.”  Cooperman and Cavallari enjoyed a date night Thursday in Los Angeles, where they were spotted partying at an ESPN bash, sharing a sushi dinner at Nobu and kissing at West Hollywood hotspot Voyeur.  See now I am thinking finally that The Hills is not real.

Britney does not do it live?

Monday, November 9th, 2009

Happy Monday Kiddies and away I go.

Britney Spears has done it again, hitting the headlines during her first Australian tour over a row about lip-synching and a lackluster performance that her tour promoter said had left her “extremely upset.”   Australian media reported that fans walked out of the first of Spears’ 14 Australian performances that was staged in Perth on Friday after just a few songs, describing it as “boring,” “stiff,” mimed and lacking interaction with the audience.   But the promoter of Spears’ Australian “Circus” tour, her manager and some fans rushed to her defense, saying this savaging has left the pop singer traumatized.   ”Britney is aware of all this and she’s extremely upset by it,” Paul Dainty, Spears’ tour promoter, told The Australian newspaper on Monday.   ”She’s a human being. I’m embarrassed, with such a big international entourage here with Britney, to be part of the Australian media when I see that kind of totally inaccurate reporting.”   Dainty said it was a total fabrication to suggest that fans had stormed out of the show as early as the third song after paying between $200 to $1,500 to see the 27-year-old singer who has rebuilt her career after a high-profile meltdown.   Before her world tour started in March to promote her sixth studio album, Spears had only done a handful of live concerts in recent years as her personal life ran out of control.   Really Australia, are you that stupid?  Where have you been for the past 10 years?

R&B singer Rihanna broke her silence on Friday about the night her ex-boyfriend Chris Brown attacked her, saying he had bitten her, put her in a headlock and left her bleeding and swollen. “It wasn’t the same person that says ‘I love you.’ It was not those…eyes,” Rihanna, 21, told Diane Sawyer in an interview on ABC televisions “Good Morning America” show.   ”He had…no soul in his eyes. Just blank…He was clearly blacked out. There was no person when I looked at him,” she said.   Brown, 20, singer of hits like “Kiss, Kiss,” was sentenced to five years probation and 180 hours of community service for the assault in February on the eve of the Grammy Awards. He has apologized publicly and although the pair briefly reunited, Rihanna said she now has “no desire at all to be with him.”   Rihanna said the attacks started with an argument over a text message Brown received while they were driving home from an industry party.   ”I couldn’t take it that he kept lying to me. And he couldn’t take it that I wouldn’t drop it. And…it was ugly,” she told Sawyer.   She acknowledged police reports that Brown bit her, put her in a head lock until she had trouble breathing, and punched her several times in the eye.   ”I fended him off with my feet…but it was not like, it was not like a fight with each other. I just…I really just wanted it to stop,” she said.   Her screams prompted a bypasser to call the police.  Oh that young love, now never go back Rihanna.

If it’s the second weekend in November, it must be Christmas in Hollywood.   Walt Disney Co’s high-tech adaptation of Charles Dickens’ “A Christmas Carol” topped the North American box office on Sunday with lower-than-expected ticket sales of $31 million.   For moviegoers in the mood for darker material, “Precious: Based on the Novel ‘Push’ by Sapphire,” opened at No. 13 after earning a hefty $1.8 million in just four cities. Lionsgate’s acclaimed tale of a young, black, overweight, illiterate incest survivor will expand nationally on November 20.   Both movies overshadowed new releases featuring such big names as George Clooney and Cameron Diaz. Clooney’s military comedy “The Men Who Stare At Goats” opened at No. 3 with a solid $13.3 million. “The Box,” a thriller starring Diaz, opened at No. 6 with just $7.9 million. Also new was the alien-abduction thriller “The Fourth Kind” at No. 4 with $12.5 million.   Last weekend’s champion, the Michael Jackson concert documentary “This is It” slipped to No. 2 with $14 million, taking its 12-day total to $57.9 million. The foreign total for the Columbia Pictures release rose to $128.6 million.   Hey, be happy with those numbers; remember we are in a recession.

In the Twilight series, Ashley Greene’s vampire character Alice can see into the future. And so, to an extent, can Greene, though the vision is not the greatest.   “No guys and lots of work,” the actress, 22, laments in the December issue of Maxim Magazine hitting newsstands Nov. 17.     “My managers and my agents and my mom are like, ‘No boys!’,” she adds. “Sometimes I wish I had a boyfriend. We could watch movies, make dinner and cuddle. But that’s what girlfriends are for.”  You know Ashley, I am single, and I have seen those “leaked” photos of you on the internet.

Tiffani Thiessen and her husband, artist and actor Brady Smith, are expecting their first baby next May, her rep tells PEOPLE exclusively.   “We are over the moon!” the couple said in a statement. “It’s something we’ve wanted for a long time and we are thrilled that it’s actually happening.” Balancing motherhood with her new role on USA’s drama White Collar will be a welcome adjustment for the star, best known for her work on Saved By the Bell and the original Beverly Hills 90210.  No wait, Kelly Kapowski cannot be preggers.

Possibly taking cues from the group’s album titles, will veteran rock band Aerosmith continue to Rock in a Hard Place? Or will its fans be force to Just Push Play?   According to rumors – and guitarist Joe Perry himself – it looks like people are going to have to get used to listening to songs like “Dude Looks Like a Lady” without the distinctive warbling of frontman Steven Tyler, who may or may not have left the band.   “Steven quit as far as I can tell. I don’t know any more than you do about it,” Perry told The Las Vegas Sun “I don’t know for how long, indefinitely or whatever. Other than that, I don’t know.”  Well, they are hasbeens, ya know.

Kenny Chesney may not be hitting the road in 2010, but he will be hitting theaters in Summer in 3-D. The concert film, shot during last summer’s tour, will play select screens in April. In addition to the stadium shows, fans will also see more intimate performances: “We did a 35-minute show with all the tailgaters, right on the water,” Chesney tells the USA Today of his Pittsburgh stop. “Unless you’re down there, nobody gets to see that.  Chesney broke the horrible news that he wouldn’t be touring in summer 2010 to EW in September. He’ll make a small screen appearance on Wednesday, when he performs “I’m Alive” with Dave Matthews at the 43rd Annual CMA Awards on ABC.  Oh man, as someone who has seen him in concert, this movie should be stellar.

And finally, Comedian and rapper Katt Williams remained jailed Monday in suburban Atlanta after police said they arrested the entertainer for breaking into a home and stealing thousands of dollars worth of jewelry and coins.  Williams, who police say is 38, is charged with burglary and criminal trespassing, according to Coweta County Sheriff’s Office Maj. James Yarbrough.  A Coweta County magistrate set bond at more than $41,000 Monday afternoon. A detention officer at Coweta County Jail confirmed Williams remained in custody after the hearing.  Yarbrough said the Sunday night incident happened at a home in Newnan, about 38 miles southwest of Atlanta. Yarbrough said the victim — identified in a police report as Daniel Broach — called police around 9 p.m. to report the comedian broke into his home and stole   Ha, isn’t he a pseudo celebrity, and he is pulling this shiznit?
