Janet Speaks The Truth
Monday, November 16th, 2009Happy Monday Kiddies and away I go.
David Letterman’s spokesman has denied a report claiming the television star’s wife has left him in the wake of his recent sex scandal and extortion case. ”The National Enquirer has it wrong,” Letterman’s representative Tom Keaney told the New York Daily News. Letterman admitted on the “Late Show with David Letterman” last month that he has had sexual affairs with female employees of the show. The on-air revelation came after he testified before a grand jury that a man threatened to release the information to the public if Letterman did not pay him $2 million. A CBS News producer, Robert Halderman, was arrested and charged in the alleged extortion plot. He pleaded innocent and was released on bail. Letterman has publicly apologized to both his staff and wife, Regina Lasko, whom he married last March after dating her for 20 years. The couple has a 6-year-old son together. Good, I know they will work their way through this mess.

Janet Jackson holds Michael Jackson’s personal doctor responsible for her brother’s sudden death and has told ABC News that a day does not go by when she doesn’t think about her late sibling. “He was the one that was administering,” Janet Jackson said about Houston-based physician Dr. Conrad Murray. “I think he is responsible.” Murray, who was hired to treat Michael Jackson in the months before Jackson died on June 25 of a drug overdose, is currently a target in the manslaughter investigation of the “Thriller” singer’s death. Since June, Los Angeles County coroner officials have said the powerful anesthetic propofol, which is used in surgery, and the sedative lorazepam, were the primary drugs responsible for Jackson’s death. Police have referred the case to prosecutors to determine if criminal charges should be filed. Janet Jackson has remained mostly quiet about her brother’s death, but she spoke with ABC television journalist Robin Roberts in an interview set to air Wednesday night on the network’s show “In the Spotlight.” Wait, I forget, is Janet the stable one?

The mother of DJ AM alleges in a Los Angeles lawsuit against Learjet that her disc jockey son’s overdose death was directly linked to a 2008 crash he survived. The late disc jockey’s mother, Andrea Gross, added a wrongful death claim to a $20 million lawsuit filed by her son before his August death, People.com reported Friday. DJ AM, whose real name was Adam Goldstein, was suing Learjet along with other defendants for the September 2008 jet crash in West Columbia, S.C. The crash resulted in the deaths of four people, including two crew members, and left Goldstein and rocker Travis Barker injured. According to Los Angeles court records, Gross amended the lawsuit to include allegations the crash caused her 36-year-old son to turn back to drug use until his Aug. 28 death of a drug overdose. ”The crash ultimately caused Adam Goldstein’s death at a later date,” the court papers state. People magazine said Learjet has denied any responsibility for the crash. I really didn’t the drugs make him die?

Adriana Lima now has a little angel of her own: the Victoria’s Secret model and her husband, NBA star Marko Jaric, welcomed a daughter on Sunday in New York City. “Adriana and Marko are thrilled to announce they had a baby girl, Valentina Lima Jaric,” a rep for Lima tells Yahoo. “Mother, father and baby are all doing well.” Lima, 28, met the Memphis Grizzlies star, 31, in 2006 and got engaged two years later on Lima’s 27th birthday. The couple eloped on Valentine’s Day this year, tying the knot in a small, private civil ceremony in Jackson Hole, Wyoming. Eh, I am not going to touch that…Tainted Goods.

Well apparently Baby Number 2 isn’t keeping Jenna Elfman from maintaining balance in her life – the balance between food cravings and exercise, that is. “You know, the main cravings are done with,” the Accidentally on Purpose actress, 37, told PEOPLE at the P.S. Arts “Express Yourself” charity event in Santa Monica, Calif., on Sunday. “Now it’s just eating in general. I like stuffing food down my face.” But like any good Hollywood celebrity, she keeps in shape. Well see this is why I am not a celebrity, I have one cupcake, and I can’t stop.

Rosie O’Donnell may have said last month that she was done commenting on breakup rumors dogging her relationship with her partner of five years, Kelli Carpenter, but that changed Friday. On her Sirius Satellite radio show, O’Donnell suddenly admitted Carpenter had moved out of their home two years ago. The reason for the big reveal? A pressing psychic and a long-haired Chihuahua. “Where did you get her from Rosie? Because she says she came from somewhere. And she said she’s happier with you,” pet psychic Sonya Fitzpatrick said of O’Donnell’s dog Misty. “She’s so spoiled and she loves to burrow.” Well if you had to put up with her too on a daily basis, wouldn’t you leave Rosie as well? She might be worse than Kate Gosselin.

Joey Lawrence and his wife Chandi Yawn-Nelson are expecting their second child, the actor tells MSN exclusively. Due April 3, the baby will be another girl, joining “very excited” big sister Charleston, 3 ½. “I am Estrogen Man,” laughs Lawrence. “I’m from a family of all boys, and when I told my best friend Dave that my wife and I were having a second girl, he said, ‘Look at you, my best buddy Estrogen Man!’” The latest addition to the Lawrence family will be named Liberty Grace, the actor shares. The first name “is something I’ve always loved,” Lawrence, 33, explains, while Grace is in honor of his grandmother, who passed away earlier this year. All I can say is Whoa. Who knew?

Stephanie Pratt pleaded not guilty to misdemeanor DUI in a Los Angeles court Friday and will enroll in a 30-day residential rehab facility. The Hills star, 23, was arrested last month in Hollywood after driving home from Holly Montag’s birthday party. She recently told EW that the arrest “was the worst thing to happen to me and, at the same time, it was the biggest blessing” as a life lesson. If convicted, Pratt faces up to six months in jail and a $1,000 fine. Good job Stephanie, anything to stay in the public eye.

Nicolas Cage’s next film may take place in New Orleans, but the debt-plagued actor can now no longer claim to be a resident of the Big Easy. Cage, 45 who filed a lawsuit blaming his financial collapse on his longtime business partner, had his two historic French Quarter homes purchased in a foreclosure auction Thursday. The houses went for $4.5 million – about two-thirds the appraised value – to Cage’s lender, Regions bank, the lone bidder. Movers were seen clearing Cage’s belongings on Friday. If only his millions on hair care products.

And finally, Harry Potter star Daniel Radcliffe has denied smoking marijuana at a party, after a report appeared in British tabloid the Daily Mirror. ”We categorically deny the allegations regarding Daniel Radcliffe published in today’s Daily Mirror,” his spokeswoman said in a statement. “Daniel does smoke the occasional roll-up cigarette, but he was not doing anything more than this. We are considering our position and will be taking all necessary action in relation to such allegations.” Radcliffe, 20, shot to international fame for playing boy wizard Potter in the movie adaptations of JK Rowling’s hugely successful series of books. The six films to date have earned billions of dollars at the box office, and filming is under way for the two-part final installment Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows. Oh that Harry Potter always is getting in to trouble of some sort or another.
